Ladder fail

Okay... I know this is going to make me sound like an idiot, but how do I go up ladders faster?
I mean sometimes it's not that bad, but most of the time, it's just sooooooo sllloooowwww.

Can anyone think of why this is happening to just me? And I understand if you're just too disgusted by my fail to post.

Jump down and try again.
tis happens, mostly on Mine ladder (since you have to jump n stuff to get on it)

most of the time you can get stuck on ladders if you jump at them
