Account pruning.

I think account pruning would be a good idea.

Say an account hasn't been active in two years. Why let that name go to waste?
No point in having an old account in the system that will just go to waste and waste space. Maybe that's just my opinion. Let me know what you think.

so you didn't play your account for two straight years? That's something I doubt. I don't mean 100% active I mean not logged on to the website even once.

I would agree to the idea only if it fits the requirements below.

1. The account has bought/gifted/used ZP before.
2. Not active for 6+ monthes (then sent an email)
3. If the email has not been replied to in 3 weeks.

I think this is the only fair way because that way ZP buyers don't lose their IGN and people that don't play regularly, but still wants to play from time to time, will be able to.

I agree to this as well. Clean out the closet and get rid of those names that are just being wasted and give them to people who will actually use it actively.

Believe there have been posts about this cause I've seen this suggested before. Its not going to happen because people could come back and other issues like that.
Edit:*And as for ZP buyers get to keep their names, thats just unfair. But maybe those accounts that were never played on. Like Cliche, as mentioned before.

If you don't play since a year your IGN get's resettet. This way he keeps his account and the name is free again.

This won't happen. They think those players will actually come back and start playing. As a matter of fact though, I have a few accounts from 2009 that I recently logged on to in which I had to create a new IGN.

The more attention this gets, the more likely it would happen. Some forumers (whoever they may be) are willing to take the chance for it to happen.

Your thread seems to still hold some complications/problems that tag along with the suggestion. As for now, I'm going to stay rooting for this one to happen more than that.

See this would actually help Z8 games. People who never paid for this game and only played it once may get screwed over but ZP buyers who spend money on this game change their name using money to get the names of people who never spent money

It was previously posted by other people, which you have not yet replied.

And again, don't be so pessimist about things. There were many things that were suggested by the community that have made it to our version of CrossFire, like the P90-Camo. Given the amount of attention as well as how positive the feedback is given, it has a chance.

Besides, why are you asking for mine? Everyone's opinion is equal.

I'm not asking for your opinion (but it wouldn't hurt), i was asking if you could take your time to write the 'complications' you were talking about. I'd like to hear some facts to prove the idea is bad.

bad suggestion. You must be unique in all, so - just create a unique IGN and use it

+1, great idea. So many names that I've tried to use are often taken by someone who has not played this game in ages. I don't think their account should be deleted, I think there name should just be changed to something like-Inactive1.... and so on. Would be nice to see this happen, finally we would have a wider range of names that are available.
