Internet provider for Melbourne?

What is the fastest type of connection and provider in Melbourne? I currently have unlimited ADSL2+ from TPG and CF lags like hell (240-300 ping) I badly need a fast and reliable provider.

There's only so much your internet provider will be able to help. The distance between the US servers and Australia is huge so you'll always have a sizeable ping. Just bear that in mind before you try and find a new ISP.

Go with BigPond or Optus

i get 171 in us west, where as my friends who are on BigPond are getting 165ish...

All I'm after is ping under 200, loads of Australians play with under 200.
