I remember saidin saying between 4-6 new moderators will be chosen, 2 already have been.
They obviously pick mods by what they see on the forums. Its not about the quantity of posts its the quality. Basically they will want a respectful person who isnt afraid to say what they think. Also they take note of what the current moderators think of people.
They dont know if they made a good choice, they put their trust in people and sometimes it backfires, I'm sure everyone knows about that from some point in their lives. There is a new moderator group that has less powers than the average mod that new mods are put in to anyway so they cant cause too much damage if they decide they want to be an idiot.
Hope that helps. -
Hello there,Questions about Moderator applications. Probably only MOD's can answer.
Q: How many moderators are going to accepted?
Q: How you choose the moderators. (By age, country, timezone, total posts)?
Q: How can you know, the moderator you chose, is correct choise?
I am not a MOD but i can maybe answer your question.
1) As many is needed.
2)post count do not count, what matter is how active you are, your attitude towards the community & what have you done & willing to do towards the community.
3) Before a person becomes a MOD, A mod or any other staff member lays eye on that person. So that person is like valuated through time based on his action. for a simple word i would say analyze. So a Staff member will know what Person deserve that MOD spot. -
Q: How many moderators are going to accepted?
A: However many they deem is needed. The applications are not just for one set either. They can leave it open for the next time they might need more moderators.
Q: How you choose the moderators. (By age, country, timezone, total posts)?
A: The only one that doesn't matter much is post count. But rather what you post, rather than how many. The rest are helpful things that can help since location means when you can be on, age can determine maturity and other things.
Q: How can you know, the moderator you chose, is correct choise?
A: They don't, people can change when they get in a position of power, even with one as minor as a moderator position. But that's where they learn from their mistakes. The team doesn't just pick randomly, they do a bit of research before they make their choices.
But even if they make a mistake, they move forward. -

A: 42.
A: Depends how many spaces we have
A: We roll a dice, kids get lucky.
A: we discuss things, put ideas forward, talk to each other
A: Because we travel into the future to check out how they do.
A: Short answer is, we don't. But people are generally good at telling who means what they say, and we know how they tend to act etc. but it is a learning curve for everyone -
but one question now.
a while ago some mod said 'thats above my paycheck' and then someone else said they do it for free. so what is it now payed or free. i do think free.
When someone says "thats above my paycheck" more than likely it was a figure of speech.
We get perks from time to time, but hardly is it worthwhile to be satisfied about, nor to give a damn over anyways.
It's mentioned in the mod apps...[GM]Saidin wrote: »Moderators get rewarded as well through special items or zp from us, it varies from time to time. But there's always a perk to being a mod!
It's nothing special.
As for the OP's questions:
1) As many as are needed. Could be a lot, could be little. Last I heard we're looking around for a few more.
2) The GMs choose the next Mod. They may or may not ask for current mods opinion
3) Here's a question for you: How can you know whether the next action you take is the right or correct choice?
Not going to say it was a good question, but I will say that you're asking for an opinion not a fact. -

I apperciate for your help. Here's some more. It's good amount that 42, but NattNatt, rolling a dice? I see '9' has different answer for that. I hope that there is lots of MOD's who could discuss about suggestion and the suggestions would appear + the more MOD's patroling, the safer the game is?
Answer on #3: That question makes sense.
How you get information "You have chosen as z8games Moderator (Congratulations)"[?]. PM or Email? -

Natt was having fun, he provided serious answers below his silly ones in black. Yes, I would think that the more MODs that are patrolling the game and forums would make them safer and cleaner, which I believe is the point of Saidin wanting to bring in more MODs as soon as he can. #3 is hard to tell, and Natt has a point. You don't know if they have some mischievous plan after they get a moderator position. You don't know what they're going to do with it- all you can do is hope. They won't give the position to someone who has proven they do not deserve their trust. (Their being the moderators and Saidin.) That's also one positive of the "Probationary Moderator" group- they have limited powers. So they can't do things the rest of the older and more experienced MODs can. -
