Slow load time?
Hello,
I am not sure if this has already been posted but I will go ahead anyway.
My load time between the start and log in screen is good, my ping is very good 7-13 normally but sometimes when I enter a room it may take 3-4 minutes to get into a room and then 3-4 mins when the game is over.
This will thus mean that when ever I join a CW, I will join at least 1 round in and when the game is at half way I will always disconnect due to taking too long to get out of game.
Thanks.

Well it has been working fine now on CF for 3 years. It must be something on your end.
I am trying various programs ex cetera to try and speed up load time when joining a game.
Also as Righteouss has said I have only had this problem since the last patch. -

Often patches put more strain on your pc compared to previous ones... over the 3 years have you not noticed a decrease in performance? Last patch was one of these patches were everyone has had performance drops.
It is and isnt Crossfire... its the game requiring more RAM than usual but then its your PC too not being able to handle it. Your specs are actually really bad
Im actually surprised you can run it at all. -
What specs would you recommend?
You think my PC shouldn't be able to run a free game?
I've used other games completely fine.
If I redownload CF would that make a difference, and if performance decreases after every patch would that not mean that everyone at some stage will not be able to play CF without problems?
Thanks. -

1.60GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM
Does that help?
Hello,
You need to add ramcards. For at-least, 3 More for the basic.
1GB isnt enough.
4GB is the recommanded.
Here you will find ram cards for sale.
http://www.crucial.com/
Again, if you couldn't afford ramcards then I am sorry you just cant play CrossFire anymore if you do not wish to wait. -

You NEED a new processor and at least 1 more GB of RAM. How much FPS do you get ingame? I had a 2ghz CPU and 1 gb RAM and barey got 20fps until I bought my new one.
Free game doesnt mean its always easy to run. It like to see you run games like battlefield play for free or APB.
No it wouldnt.
You mnisunderstand what I mean... for example, looking at the forum, the ZM patch decreased people performance. This last patch, which changed the font, decreased performance.
When I first got my PC, id always be at 200 FPS.... not I barely push 130 steadily.majorwen123 wrote: »Hello,

No... first off.. RAM chips do not always come in 1GB... you dont even know if he has enough spaces in his PC to accommodate 3 more.. which I doubt.
4gb of RAM for Crossfire? Are you kidding? 2GB is more than enough.
Stop posting.. -
Would getting just this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-PC2-5300-Desktop-Upgrade-240-pin/dp/B0009W9TAG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1341051751&sr=1-1
speed up my PC. Or would I need a new processor.
Stop posting him or me? If it was me, I am sorry but I am trying to solve the problem, and majorwen I do not mind spending money.
My FPS is 80-90. Ping 7-14.

It would help yes.
Him lols.
You get 90 FPS with that!? No way! -
What's this about a new processor though?
Or would 2 more GB of RAM be enough to play CF faster?
Is 90FPS bad? Well it has been dropping to 75-85 since patch sometimes.

Well I feel this thread is coming to a close. If you could answer the processor question.
Thanks for your time! -

RAM would be enough... But a better processor is always better. No way you get 90 fps with those specs though....
