Ghost Mode

Well recently I've come to be a lot more interested in Ghost Mode than I have in the past. I know some essentials are:

Black List
-Bhopping
-Good game sense

Global Risk
-Good headphones (I've posted a thread in Off-Topic)
-A silent weapon would be best
-Good game sense

If you could put any more things on those lists tell me and which section it should go under. Any more tips would be helpful, too. I want to start practicing a bit in Pubs and privately with friends, but I'm finding it somewhat hard to pinpoint very fast, especially people with breath down, as I only have 2-channel headphones, which in my opinion aren't the best for GM. If any of you want to practice with me tonight I'd be up for it. ^^

    Debel noop

OT: Um, so you want tips or you want people to GM with you? O_o

I mean I have Kukri, breath down, armor, reduce fall damage, the sound down (the steps whatever).

So I'm basically not a good GM'er, but I get a good score in GM :D

OT: Err, both. Mainly if they want to GM with me I would like them to be patient and not go all out on me at first. It's hard to learn in pubs with so many good and fast bhoppers.

But I need help more on the GR side, although I would like a review on my bhop to see how others think it is. :o

Well I would, just message me on xfire, gonna be on Runescape and YouTube.

Um, for GR, errr not a big fan. I suck at PP. Especially if you GM with people who sound glitch (Which is when they axe and bhop away to make it sound they're there. Well that's what Pickle told me)

I don't bhop, unless if I have to, but other than that, my armor and breath down have my covered with all that. I tend to rush.

Sure, I'll get to you in a bit then. (Maybe we can both work on our PP.)

That's not a glitch, that's just shooting an m4 and bhopping away in S&D if you think of it like I just did. You have to rely on breath, not axe sounds, they'll mislead you. :p

Ehhh, just hopefully no tryhard forumers/GM'ers come in >.>
  • What is this ghost mode you speak of? This bunny hopping sounds ridiculously easy.
  • @kim eh runescape -_- the game got messed up.
@seashore well its not that hard to play gm. a while ago i did like 15/0 with my m700 lol.
but you just got to listen to the foot steps but it also ask time to master it that bhop and pp i cant teach you thats for sure i dont do any gm anymore. i cant even bhop lol.

Ha ha, GR is for me. I think I can manage most times on BL. :o As for footsteps, well, I guess I should say that a lot of people know how to bhop now, and footsteps are very uncommon. As for your bhop, you're welcome to come practice with us. ^^ I think I'll put up a forumer room. Like right meow.
  • A few questions I have about GM:

How do you know which footsteps are the ghosts and which are your own or a team mates?

The ghosts breath slowly, so it'll take a few breaths (usually >6 for me because I have bad hearing, but then I'm usually dead) to locate where they are, is there a faster way?
The slow breaths also cause other problems, is there a way to solve this?

Can you bhop forwards without becoming visible first?

Can you change direction while bhopping?

Nope, better headphones? EQ might help.

Run and start only, so no.

Yes, using a combination of the s+d/a keys. Takes practice. I tend to spin around to make this easier for me.

You can't really tell, but ghosts carrys breath with them, and that's what you listen for.

Well, all I've gotta say is turn up your volume.

    Yes you can.

    Yes you can.

well you cant change direction while bhoping but you can do it any direction you want and stay invisble and for the foot steps well listen the footsteps of a ghost sound not of the place where you are. the come louder and louder.

@seashore no thx i dont even want to learn to bhop lol and i dont like gm anymore.
to me gm kinda got messed up now that everyone bhop and use armor and low sound things and axe. thats pretty hard to beat but also alot of people pp someone in like 1-2 sec so its boring now... it was way more fun when there wased bhop and stuff. they made the low sound so you could run and that they dont hear it that good but now yeah..

The ghosts run faster than GR, so the steps sound faster to.

    Pssst, I got my Pinetree.
  • Let's put this back on topic now. :)

Remember helpful tips that you know of as a Ghost Mode player is what I'm looking for. I don't know if I'll be up after the maintenance tonight because I have to wake up early tomorrow, so practice later tonight may not happen. ^^'

Find me in game someday if you wanna witness the 360 hop. ^_^

    useless :)
  • If you want to get good, practice playing against players that are better than you. Don't worry about kdr. Farming noobs in pubs will never make you into a good GM player.

you can pm me *]H[ellGhost if you ever want to play/practice/pub with me :)

Thanks. :) Not really noobs, I just want to get more used to the headphones. So not noobs, but not over the top experienced. More like moderate. However in private I'm willing to play some really good players if they're willing to be patient and help me. I may PM you sometime.
