Happy birthday. How old are you now?
I started driving lessons 2 weeks ago but was kicked out the 3rd day because of repeated absences.
Don't make my mistake. I'll have to wait till fall to get back in.

Hapy Birthday.
A few tips from when I started driving a few years ago
- Shop around for cheap driving instructors. Don't go with the big companies like BSM or RED, they'll usually rip you off. Find local tuition. My lessons were about £18 an hour but I think they're like up to £30 an hour now depending on your area so it can add up...
- Do your theory ASAP. Ideally you would have done it within a week after your birthday. This can actually help you a lot when complemented with your lessons.
- Learn in a manual, not an automatic. Automatics are ridiculously easy to drive and you'll pass in no time and you'll probably regret it afterwards. I learned to drive in a manual, and it's great! -

most places in the UK wont allow you to do a test in an automatic...but if you do find one, do it and pass, you only have a license to drive an automatic, not a real car. (i'm looking at you america.)

Trust me they offer automatic tests and lessons everywhere. Having an automatic licence instead of a manual one is pretty daft considering most cars in the UK are manual and usually much cheaper. -

How come? And yeah being the designated driver is a pain... plus there's that added chance that someone will chunder all over your car. It's happened before and I swear to God if it happens again... <_< -

You're not allowed to get a licence because you're already banned on your provisional?
That happened to one of my friends. He did two speed cameras in his own car with L plates without anyone else in it. Dumb move. >_< -
