No sound in game

I just downloaded and installed crossfire like 1 week ago and when it finished there was no sound so i uninstalled it deleted the download file and i deleted all the remaining folders from my pc re-download it then re-installed it and still there is no sound i run win xp sp2 32 and the game realy does suck w\o any sound it you can plz help me tell me what to do
