Strange Auto-Ban for a new player?
My cousin Tanner just installed CF tonight and hopped in game. After he selected his IGN of DumpsterBaby (lmao I know, right?) he tells me he got a "Hack Tool Has Been Detected" error and now he is banned for 3 days.
He has been texting me asking me to post here since he can not, Im guessing because of the ban.
Has this happened to anyone before? He tells me that he didn't even get to play the game, let alone hack.
Should he make a new account or what?

Other programs on his computer that were running at the time of the login/ban were AVG which was disabled, RaidCall, and Ventrilo. Im not sure why he had both Vent and RC running at the same time, but hes 12, and does stupid stuff all the time, like make his name DumpsterBaby.

Well i think he should make a new ACC and if it happens again then there might be a problem -

i told him to wait til the ban is lifted, or just make another account. I think he is gonna wait though because he really likes the name.
edit: he submitted a support ticket and went back to CA, do you think he can get his Honorable soldier ribbon back? -
Best course of action is have him submit a support ticket with the account in question (or an alternate account if he's blocked from support services) to get the right answer.
Since the account is fresh, hopefully the information surrounding it is also well remembered too
Support should be able to tell him exactly what triggered this ban. As to seeing if gets overturned, well, that's at the discretion of Z8. If they don't, well sorry bud. -

Did he cheat in CA? Xtrap might have detected that.
Also the overlay for Raidcall is detected as a hack tool but will not ban you. So that has nothing to do with it.

They'll tell him it was a hack tool as that is what was picked up by XTrap...

Tell him to try to logg in anyways because i get those msg all the time, saying im banned for , 0 days 0 hours 0 mins 0 seconds / 10000000000 hours. It is just a little bug. just try to logg off iof it says it again just reinstall then wait a few min and he should b fine. -

The problem is he got banned for 3 days... but its a really ban .. He cant log in -

i "hack" other games, and use cheat engine for it, left that open and it didn't ban me, just gave me hack tool detected and exited.
cheat engine sucks at server side games so i guess xtrap humors people who try it. lol. -

Meh, there isn't a lot being told, true.
But then again, this isn't the proper outlet to attempt to discuss bans.

You will have to take your case with Support to see whats up. My only advice is to be straight forward honest with all inquiries.
