Sudden Fps drop

Well I'm hoping that someone can help me or even maybe had same issue, I don't know if it's lag, game or even my gpu. Since they patched it may fps while playing is from 130-165 roughly been higher even in full games, I would be playing along then bam 100 fps goes to crap and falls to 30-40 fps for maybe 5-10 secs and even normal again does this in intervals.
I run a laptop and I know that I won't get the push that a desktop may have.

  • For Laptops its hard to keep the FPS the same because Laptops run some useless programs randomly which can drop it, does it to me some times.
Also it depends of how many people are in the room how much is goin on like smoke/flash/nade and shooting. Lastly Map depends on FPS too, if its a big map ur FPS will be low, if its a small map it should be bigger, on big maps the smoke should trigger your FPS more.

For example; (Eagle Eye) I get about 40-70FPS in -6 people Pub rooms then if few people drop nades and smokes on A and im in side house my FPS goes down by like 10.
Then +8 people room FPS is about 20-30 and because alot more people play in the room thats why the FPS is so low, and it doesnt usually go under 20.

It just depends of how many people in the room and how much action is going on.
  • I have no issues with anything of that sort whether if its full or not its over 100 fps all the time smoke, nade or flashes doesn't matter but maybe its lag but I never had an issue with that making my fps crap. Maybe its a program that is running maybe it is like some kind of spyware/virus I dont know. Another thing laptop or not I never had this issue since I had it
  • It's something to do with the patching of the game. I hadn't played in about 5 months, installed and my FPS is noticeably garbage at times. I'm on a desktop too. Normally a constant 120 in 8v8, at times I'm around 20-30 now. Smoke was never an issue with me but at times I get literally 5-10 FPS in smoke now.

What? No, laptops are just like desktops, except portable, and harder to upgrade. Doesn't have to do anything with laptops having random programs in the background.

Here's what I'll suggest: turn anything off in the background, such as a game recorder, a chatting software, any internet pages, etc. If you wish to have an increase in FPS, do the following below (note; this will change the appearance of your computer, but is easily reversible!): Start > Control Panel > System & Security > System > Change Settings > Advanced > Performance "Settings" > "Adjust for best Performance" > Apply. This turns off any unnecessary UI's that are just there for fancy purposes (such as the translucent task bar, wallpaper image, and other crap that isn't necessary).
