Its worth it if he wants to buy it.
The specs or price of the item doesn't matter.
Not sure where you're going with the second paragraph but if this is turning in to a rational egoism debate then I'll need a second to wake up.
Apple will never make a horrible computer. Razer will never make a great one.
Apple will always have haters. And fans.
Razer will always have haters. And fans.
The fans of respective brand will think the product is awesome.
The hater of respective brand will think the product is horrible. -

This time I will go with a simple one:
Never and always are invalid argument because of the murphy law: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy's_law
which means if it's possible that mac make an horrible computer then IT WILL happen someday, and if Razer can make a great one IT WILL happen, and it goes both way, apple can and have made great computer in the past, but now the things have turn into the other way. -
Only idiots buy macs to be honest, why would you just buy a regular PC? Same thing, PCs come in white too! And you'll probably end up downloading windows on it because you won't be able to access all programs. My cousin was dumb enough to buy a mac yet he bought windows os and runs in boot camp or something, I actually think he's an idiot. Don't buy a mac because of it's brand, be yourself buy whatever works and stick with PC. Macs are bought on the sole purpose of their looks, size, colour, and brand. Not hardware, it's the same if not worst. But costs, as andre said twice as much.
This right here.
This.
To add on...
Look at this way. A computer is a tool. It doesn't matter what brand or company. If it does the job, than thats what you should get. Same goes for any tool, car, etc. If it does the job, thats all that matters. The only thing after that is consideration of how well the job is done.
In my humble opinion, getting a PC is the better choice. Especially if you are going into computer science or any type of engineering. A Macbook is a waste of money and does little in respect to the price. -
oh my god
ok i'll abandon this thread, i'm not going to stoop to the level of having to explain why murphys law isn't valid evidence.
end of the line:
you can get a better computer than a mac.
if you want a mac and have the money and you know what it is you're buying: buy one.
its your money and personal fulfillment is all that matters. -

don't argue with him he obviously doesn't understand why people buy macs :P -

Because you really need a reason to be stupid with your money when some people just need it more than you do. Yea I must just don't understand why people are just this stupid on the same planet that I live in and share the same resources and would like it to be more equal to everybody and when I see people that argue that mac are just "the ****" make me just angry not because I'm a pc fan boy but just because I know the industry behind it and it make me feel like I'm with a bunch of monkeys, yea your right I might just not understand. Go back pray for your Apple Guru who stole idea from other companies to make fortune, go read his book and be unaware of what's around you, watch the news get uninformed and be a god damn monkey/sheep like others.
That's my last word on this thread. -
Yes, if you want an Apple laptop then its worth the money.
I really don't care what you think you have experience in.
Fact is, a lot of people buy Macbook Pro.
Whether or not its worth its price in terms of hardware, is irrelevant to those who buy it.
They want a Macbook Pro, not the best performing machine.
And I'm not 12.
God these rabid anti-Apple goons are just as annoying as the Apple fanboys..
Love it ... agreed!
Just to add to the Anti-Apple goonery/PC fan-boy/Mac fan-boy scrap in this thread (evil grin):-
If you think that your computer is just a bunch of parts doing stuff, and that its superiority can be stated simply by going -
x quad cores (not enuff room to list full name)
/GT***xx OC w/e ..
/2000+ watts
/PCI Express SSD up the whazzoolie and
/a cooling wotsit the size of a ..(well I won't go there because it involves animal husbandry and some of us might be sensitive about that stuff, prolly against the rules :P)
etc etc etc, ...
oh, and with a Linux flavour like chocolate milk or win7 pro super duper or win8 RC blah blah
all for less $$$$lucre.00 than a foreclosed property in ... well, just about anywhere in the USA or Greece or the third world (maybe also 2nd?) ...
- then really..., who's missing the point?
What about software ?
...and before you run off and say PC software can do everything and more than Mac software, refer above, because your still missing the point in the same way.
Fact is, some programs are so far ahead of anything else (in all kinds of fields) that it can be worth buying a platform for that specific application. Usually when this happens other 'complimentary' apps and plugins, even industries etc are coming up as well and the investment is exceptional value.
I have 1st hand experience of this right back at the beginning of the desktop publishing revolution - and I say revolution because it transformed an entire industry (or 2 or 3) - and then the entire business office.
With desktop publishing in the 80's Macs were the ONLY choice for anyone that was serious. Photoshop comes to mind ... (not so subtle smirk) /Quark Express (totally smug)/ even Pagemaker (for the not quite so industrial users)
- this trend has continued, other industries have had similar overhauls and Apple have again been the platform of choice in several of them.
Its what you NEED to do and CAN do coupled with ease, predictability, inter-operability, intuitiveness (which is subjective to every user) etc.,
... requirement, capability, human interface.
I have a PC rig, its JUST for gaming, cos its a better solution than any Mac I could customise - and its pretty frigg'n good - 3 x 27" screen gaming rig (sim racing also) with the power/cpu/gfx capacity to run it all (and then some).
When I actually try and do anything serious or for business I use one of my Macs
... cos they're so much ??????? better !! (insert s??? eating ??????? grin here)
I'm not 12 either, but sometimes I do feel surrounded by 10 year olds.
