New Graphics Card
Hey you guys its me ProPCGamer dropin in to say hello (if anyone remembers me anymore haha). I am getting a new graphics card and was wondering about how much frames per second I would get in this game with a PNY GeForce GT 430 1 GB. Here is the link to the card. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+-+GeForce+GT+430+1GB+DDR3+PCI+Express+Graphics+Card/2265044.p?skuId=2265044&st=PNY+GeForce+GT+420%255C&lp=1&cp=1&id=1218317314615

You don't need over 60fps if you have a 60hz screen and you don't need over 120fps if you have a 120hz screen, because you just wont see any differance. I cap crossfire all the time at +200 around 260-270 when crossfire let me break the limit a little bit.
But still if it's just for gaming you wont need a beasty graphic card for this game, I use a good rig only because I multi-task + edit movies. So yea you will get a stable fps for this game with the graphic card you just showed.
Ps: using a gtx 680 here. -
Here with a GTS 450 to inform you that graphic cards don't really help your FPS in Crossfire. Crossfire highly depends on CPU and RAM, so your graphics card probably wont contribute to your FPS that much, maybe 5-15, give or take a few frames. If you really want more FPS, upgrade your RAM. A reasonable amount of RAM for high frames would be 8GB (2x4gb), but a 4GB stick would work as well. For CPU, at least a dual processor, preferably a quad processor though with about 2.4+ GHz.

one thing to keep in mind when purchasing a new video card. make sure your power supply can handle it. that card requires at least a 300w power supply. do you know how many watts your power supply is?
one more thing to add, make sure it can fit in your case.
some guys here have mentioned the ram. that will help a lot. if your not sure how much ram you have. go here http://www.crucial.com/ and use the system scanner. it will tell you how much ram u have and if you can upgrade.
good luck and i hope you enjoy your new card! -

Some good info here. Ram and Cpu are a big part CF. But if you have a Dual Core or better Cpu and 4gb ram or better you're good to go with a video card upgrade. Post your spec. of PC. You will get better info on what to do. If you're good to go. I would look at the Radeon HD 5670 at that price range. Twice the FPS in Benchmarks same money. Well 2 bucks more. lol

gpu's don't affect fps much in CrossFire, it's a processor based game.
eg i went from an old nVidia 9500GT to a GTX560, it gave me a 10 fps increase.
however, when i went from an old pc to a new dual core build, it went from 30 to about 200.
then changed my monitor to 24", build gave me 100, changed processor again, and it went to 150-200. -

QUAD processor? i don't think, what korean developers can use propertly all 4 cores...nice info, i will go to shop another ram cause i have 3gb of ram
if you want to use 4 GB Ram or more, you must install Win x64, but i don't think, what Smilegate developed a true x64 version of CF...shubinator wrote: »I use saphire Hd radeon 6850 and i get about 150 fps you might get above 100
ATi Radeon 5770. From 80 to 200+ FPS. (because, if i play in MM/HM/HMX games with 16 players and they all use smoke grenades, my FPS drop down). My usual FPS in game - 180-200+ -
I have the exact same card and get about 120 FPS in 8v8 rooms. In a 5v5 I get 180-220. Also, pay no attention to TOPOMATIC251's post; those are simply manufacturer's recommendations. I have a 220 watt, yes, ONLY a 220 watt power supply in this PC and it runs fine.
