Here comes a new question whats a clan hopper to you. i can already know what oh is gonna say.

clan hopper is someone who swtiches clan often, if u change 3 clans in 3 years.. i dont think thats a clan hopper
OT: sometimes i change clans cause the person that i actually cared about or talked to left :P

[Edit] I guess I just get bored sometimes, I want to meet new people, play with new toys :3 Why do people play girls, seems to be a similar question ;)

    1) Inactive: If no one is on, or there is only between a few on even at peak times, there isn't much point of sticking around in that clan. I'm not looking to find a place to improve, but instead to fit in ^^
    2) Unskilled: Some clans just lose every clan war, and that can get annoying if you're a higher level player. Or for me if they can't pull positive in overall clan match KDR, i don't want to bother with them.
    3) Attitude: Some clans are just straight up disrespectful. Racism, calling people names or treating them badly, telling people to shut up so they can yell over top of them, I've seen this all recently :o
    4) Maturity: Age matters sometimes, sometimes you don't want to be in a clan full of people who are younger than 15 or have that person as the leader, when you're older yourself, or dislike their voices :O
    5) Drama: Inner clan drama, clans being separated into new ones and taking players or dividing friends, seen this in 3 of the clans I've been in :/
    6) Multi-Gaming: Some people dislike clans that move across different games together, yes it creates a community together but some people like to just focus on Crossfire instead of League or CS, etc.

Surprised I came up with that much.. dayum I'm a clan hopper xD

More true words from this man. You sir, are the wisest man I have ever met.
  • 1. Clan too inactive (though this doesn't bother me much)
    2. Clan has no discipline. In other words, they troll around and spam random shiit around.
    3. Found another clan that's more "attractive".
    4. Clan has bunch of friends but they left, so you tag along.
    5. A clan has a lot of your friends so we join them.
    6. Trying to find a clan that you can call a "clan family". (I had one, but I ruined it.)

Anyways this is what I think.
  • I once left a clan because nobody talked to each other at all, they didn't even reply when I said hi D:

Another time because my friend left the clan to create his own :P

    THERE YA GO!

Personally for me I hate big clans where I'm not noticed or not important. I like when I log in and sign on vent and everyone says hi or whatever the case. I hate being a member in a large clan because your almost invisible.

    Those are good points.

The reason that I asked that question was that I wanted to say a point to the clan hoppers:

Being a clan hopper is no big deal but you should tell the clan recruiter before hand that you are not necessarily committed to the clan until certain conditions are met, which can include those points above.

If you do decide to leave, you should at least leave a message to the person who recruited you. It is the least you can do.

Most of our clan members do not always say 'hi' to new members, but I always try to talk to new joinees, get to know them etc.

It seems more satisfactory to be in a clan that you can help by being the type of clan member you wish others to be.

Joining a clan giving you the opportunity to develop relationships, by leaving the clan disloyally you abandon those potential relationships. Meaningful relationships give meaning to our lives.

Changing clan should be a serious decision and should be taken very seriously.

If you are a clan hopper, what is your psychological reasoning behind clan hopping?

    • For Troll the Leader from the Clan.
    • For annoying the Member / LT's in that Clan.
    • Search a Clan with the Best Community / GamePlay / CW's.
(otherwise u leave the next Few Days)
    • Search for a Clan who clearly speaks ur Nationality Perfect
    • Search for a Clan who never insult or anything like that?

Well that's my suggestion why am I hoppin the Clans. :)
and trust me iWas like in every Clan here in the game -_-
starts from GermanDevils to TurkEmperials to "Clutch(tm)" to ANYTHING
still to "The P.A.C.T." - Well i personally liked it there :P but i got used
    to leave... -_-

    Tiga.

Well my methods of recruiting and accepting applicants filter out most the clan hoppers. My method of recruiting .. Is invite only. Although i don't advertise the clan as that, I prefer that the people who join my clan are friends, and if not my friends; friends of friends. This already gives them a reason to stay in the clan, it's less likely for them to join a clan friend is in and leave the next day. This can be proven to successful. When i first made the clan, I would literally accept everyone into the clan, as i was boosting numbers. the problem is that a lot of them would leave the next day. Nowadays apart from a few, we haven't really had an issue with people leaving the clan.

If it is just a random application, don't auto-reject, but evaluate it. If it's empty, they can't be bothered to fill in your form, doesn't really seem to want to join if they can't even fill in an app form, so they may leave again. Look at previous clans, obviously if they have a long list of hundreds then should ring alarm bells, but were they in respected clans? I also follow stereotypes which might be wrong, but oh well, it works for me. Such as certain names, you can just tell are 'baddies', which are auto-reject for me. I ask for an age in the clan app, if they are like 12.. Auto-reject.

tl;dr ? Be careful who you accept :P
    Tecumtha wrote: »

Yeah this would be ideal, not many do this though. For the players i actually like, and have no idea why they left; I normally send them a message asking why, and normally get a response.
    Tecumtha wrote: »

Yep, We've had this problem. I always say the basics, Hi, Welcome, Where you from, etc, but i guess the others are shy.

Not necessarily true, i've left a few clans in the past, and i'm still really good friends with the LTs/Leaders of those clans. I guess its a bit different as i am always in clans for months.

Well let's not go over the top, If you are unhappy with your clan; then you should leave, it is a game after all. But beforehand, you should think if it's really that bad?, Can you find a better deal?, and i guess the best question would be 'Is there anything i can do to resolve the issue?'.. Speak to the leader, etc.

We do not have forms to fill out, as I personally do not like to be interrogated or to be applying for a job in a clan.

Age is not a problem neither, one of our clan member is only 12 but he likes me lol and he is fairly good.

I feel that some people do not have the social skills to be able to deal with some what difficult or awkward situations. So leaving quietly becomes a way to say goodbye without drama.

I just hope that that person who does decide to leave, has at least tried to make an effort in improving the situation.

Leaving may seem like an easy thing to do, but is it really a good feeling to make new friends all over again in a new clan where people might not know you or care about you as much as your previous clan?

What if you decide to be inactive for a while and your new clan decides to kick you because they need the spot for someone better? Wouldn't be better to be in a clan where you know everyone and everyone knows you, that you will never be kicked even if you go inactive?
  • I honestly don't care if someone joins my clan and leaves the next day... It's up to them if they want to stay or leave...
As some people stated before, clan hoppers look for a clan that's "family-like" based...
Most clans treat their new members as strangers which is why they could possibly feel the need to keep looking for a "home".
I've clan hopped in the past with friends... Looking for that "home"
  • I also was a clan hopper for a time. I searched a clan with friendly and good players.. I joined Mad[D]ocs and it was really nice there .. but after 3 weeks or something like that i joined my present clan.. AND I DONT WANNA HOPP

  • mostly people hoping clan for no reason.because they think that they will get free zps and then leave the clan.If they dont get they just rage out.We dont actuly know 100% whats going on in peoples minds. Will they leave the clan or stay in for 6-8 years. It depends how clan is good.If the clan is epic and funny normaly every new player will stay, otherwise he will just quit the clan and search for the new clan.

Yeah i understand. Hopefully you'll enjoy ChaosTheory though, and stay; it's good having you in clan. It's a working progress anyway, It's a clan which i guess 'has my heart'. Obviously as a leader i've been from day 1, through the highs and lows of the clan. And in the past month or so, everything been going into place, and i love it. Can't wait to finish this ZM ribbon and start playing CWs/PUbs with the guys again xD

I can guarantee you that i will stay 2 years. We will see how it will work.If the clan suits me well i will stay till the end of the clan.

    -Clan Full of kids
-no communication ( vent etc )
-doesn't clan war as much as they'd want
    -Terrible Players in the clan

I'm not a clan hopper... ( On Alts i am ) but these are my reasons usually.. :)
  • if it were me, i'd join different clans until i find one with a good atmosphere, chilled and awesome people that play for fun.

    luckily, i already has this.
  • Could Z8/Devs implement a place on our profiles that shows up the clans where we've been?

Usually the clan doesn't fulfill their "High standards" and they hop or they are looking for "That perfect clan" which is impossible. No one is perfect, and that is why they are never satisfied and leave.

^this.also alot of clans don't give chance to prove yourself in cw.

I like to be faithful and loyal to my clan.
I started in this clan since I started playing CF, and I'm still in it :D
Once, we were in a clan war with a British clan, and they had much higher ranks.
My teammates sadly either got disconnected or RQ'd.
It was a 1vs3 situation in GM.
I killed them various times, had a really good score, but lost because of the C4.
They asked me to come, and offered to pay me ZP.
I did not accept, because I am faithful to my clan, and I don't like clan hoppers.
I do not charge ZP here in Egypt, and I never did.
Do you think that was a good call ? :)

I left my first clan that I joined when I started CF, particularly just because everyone became inactive. The leader became so mad he removed me from his friends list. I'm still cool with his girlfriend though. :)
  • How active is a clan active?

Summer is a busy social season, I won't have time to play more than 2, 3 times a week.

I don't like players who think too highly of themselves and look down at others. I like to teach lower skilled players, and it's really satisfying to see them become better.
I rather grow our own talents than to recruit highly skilled players who have giant egos.

Our clan members can diverse, with different backgrounds, skill levels, active levels, but we are all friendly or at least keep quiet.

I guess I will just need to keep my expectation low on the new members, until they really show that they like us and want to stay for the long haul.

Those who leave prematurely, frankly it's their loss unless they want a more pro clan. For a casual clan, I can honestly say we are one good clan and getting better all the time.

Thank you for all your thoughts.
