Migrane remedies

I've had a migrane off and on today, right now I have it once again. Anyone have any home remedies to migranes, or how do you deal with migranes?

Note: experiencing drowsiness, horrible headaches, and light hurts a lot

i used to get migraines a lot i found the best way to get rid of them is to sleep. if you get one at like 8 in the morning sleep till like 2.

I'm no Doctor yet, but try using NHS Direct to check your symptoms to find a proper diagnosis and eventually, some sort of remedy.
I'd usually take Paracetamol to help relieve some of the symptoms from a migraine.

Ibuprofen is pretty much harmless unless you down a whole bottle or are allergic.

Its a vasoconstrictor though, and headaches are either contracted or dilated bloodvessels.
You obviously don't know which type it is, but drink a cup of coffee.
Caffeine is dilating and works faster than an Ibuprofen, so exclude that first.

If caffeine doesn't work, down two ibuprofen (depending on strength) and wait an hour or two.

Go somewhere dark, bathroom without windows or something.
Even small amounts of light can be a reagent.

Sleep is obviously the most convenient way to get through a migraine attack.

If they're frequent, see a general physician and you'll get good medicine, if I recall correctly you get steroids or something.
Ask for something to help you sleep while you're at it, its a reasonable request and sleeping pills are pretty handy.
