The Name
Double Dagger is a symbol that has several uses.
As it pertains to this clan, it is a symbol that's
used in a notation style during a game of chess.
The symbol denotes checkmate.
The clan name is a sideways representation
of the Double Dagger symbol.
Below this line is an unstylized symbol

The Clan
Though the name may sound a little straight forward
I must assure you there's more logic than just that.
Chess is a game typically played by intellect.
A game known for being refined and having a steep learning curve.
Win or lose both players (typically) are respectful to the other.
The same is very true for this clan.
It's whole motif revolves around respect

The Rules
You must have a 1.0 KDR
No hacking will be tolerated (not even privately)
Maturity is your ticket to staying in the clan
Be respectful to the community
No CW without LTs (please read The LTs - Section 1)

The Evolution
Starting with adopting some members into the clan,
I wish to then make this clan full blown.
We will have a website and our own community,
which will lead into events utilizing a unique points system.
Exchangeable for on-site benefits or even merchandise.

The LTs - Section 1
We will be utilizing a unique LT system,
designed to develop a full spectrum of skills in all our members.
So even if you want to be just a member read this at least:
For every mode there will be an LT to assist
members needing help in their designated mode.
Basically every LT is a co-leader of the clan,
they just each control their own section.
In the rules it says no CW without an LT.
This isn't to cattle prod you.
It's just because with the LT system in place,
it will increase our chances of success.

This is for those who want to be an LT

basically start this clan with me.
I need a "leader" for each division written below.
S&D Guns
S&D Melee
TD Guns
TD Melee
EM
1 Division per LT
I myself am the leader for GM and all melee modes.
To apply for an LT position:
Apply as a member first - then PM me on here.
Must have 1.0+ in your respective mode,
and be willing to train those who need/seek it (in your division).

In response to your dislike of the name:
** is symbolic of a sideways "Double Dagger" (not typically sideways but this avoided the symbol limitations of CF clan names)
An un-stylized Double Dagger: ‡ (basically two plus signs ontop of eachother if your computer show's a box or ?
Though Double Daggers are used in several manners, for the clan it mostly derives from a notation style in chess to denote checkmate.
Idk if that info changes your mind on the name any but I still appreciate your input and hope you at least grasp the concept if you hadn't already. =] -
Based on your post on the rules and post about the "history" of your clan name, I can tell you've put a lot of thought into this. Me being a leader myself, applaud you for being "different" in your ways of name choice, LT choice, ect. Good luck with your clan and I hope everything goes well for you.

Anytime. I also applaud you for being able to back up your thoughts and not just get run over by people asking questions and people who are just trolls. You seem to be able to stand a good ground. I give you and your clan my clan's, as well as my own, support. -

Yeah I pretty much reinvented myself since my return to CF.
If you hadn't noticed my "honorable soldier" ribbon was revoked.
I only look at it as having more experience in the "dark side" than most.
It's only expanded my skill set in dealing with hackers, flamers, and generally immature people.
Oddly enough, I take pride in not being an honorable soldier in this regard.
Also your support means a lot, having played with many members of your clan and having no complaints about any of them.
