I don't know if it is just me but for the past few months i been getting a lot of hit markers while using my awm. I am pretty sure that this is due to the fact that a lot of people are wearing armor. I am just wondering if any pro snipers (that means that you snipe a lot) are getting this to. Sniping just isn't the, same when you aren't sure that you will kill the enemy.

Well I'm not a pro sniper but I do snipe a lot (look at my Headshots/Kill ratio), and I don't see any changes in sniping.

If you got 79-80-81,
Its because you hitted in the leg.
You will say no i hitted him in chest but due to lag (You or him).
It registered as a leg shot.

I always get 79,80,81 it can happen if the enemy jumps and you hit his leg. It can also be maybe from his lagg or your lagg.:)

I don't even have a sniper..

I had a dsr...but aks are so much better.

they work long and close range...and sniper is good only for long range...right?

No, sniping is good for getting your elite badge, and thus respect, from the other players in the game.

an AWM shot to the body does around 200 - 250 damage. Even with body armor, they would still die. I think you are just hitting their legs or arms, which do like 40 - 70 dmg.

Or they could possibly be lagging. I will not go into specifics, but playing the other version of CrossFire endorsed by G4Box, Inc., and some other players that I shoot at can tank 3 AWM shots (to either the head or body), with me getting no hit registry on them, until the third or fourth shot actually kills them.

So even an AWM's hit registry can be affected by latency and connection speed to the server.

I did a leg test on my two computers and it is incredible. Moving takes almost a quarter of a second to register, and that's with only 2 players. Shooting is almost instant though. So yeah lag is probably the problem.

Yea its lag. Snipers are not just for long range. You can get someone from mid range if you know how to quickscope. I actually find the dsr useful in gm

The problem is you're using an AWM... go get an FR-F2

On a serious note though haven't really noticed a difference except myself getting rusty with sniping

The awm damage mark for the leg and the arms got bigger in some patch I believe because it's true that I'm getting a lot more 80ish damage.
