First wave of new mods!

Hello CF Community!

Today we're here to announce the first wave of new moderators!

We would like to welcome to our community [MOD]Sebbern and [MOD]Simrock to the moderating staff!

Both have been members of this community for what seems like ages and have contributed on numerous levels to the growth of the game and forums!

We are also recognizing [MOD]9 for his second tour of duty. After taking some time off we hope that 9 will rejoin the force with renewed interest in working with everyone to improve the forums and community!


These new guys be running coffee for us while we set up their permissions! You'll notice that we have a new user-group labeled "Probationary Moderator". This is part of our improvement to the forums and the rules and the policy with which we deal with things.

The probationary mods will have a slight limitations on their power, but they will still have important abilities and communication with us here at G4Box. We will be able to get a better sense of their abilities and work with them on any necessary improvements.

In the near future we will hope to be able to make public some extra conduct notes that we use when dealing with the community and moderators so we can increase the transparency for how we deal with things. Hopefully by doing that and creating clearer policy (like we have done with the rules) we can help eliminate some of the prejudices and questions users have about Mods and the staff!

In addition to these 2 new mods we will be looking to bring in more mods in the next 2-4 weeks. We already have a few candidates picked out and they will be contacted soon about their potential to be moderators. It's a slow process, but we still want to bring in more.

More mods will be needed because unfortunate we have to announce that [MOD]Talonblaze will be stepping down. He is still going to remain a part of our community (we hope) but is going to do so from the gamer side of things rather than the moderating side! We wish him the best of luck and a wholehearted thanks for everything he has done for us and the Mods!
