Too much love for AWMs?
I may be missing something big, but I really don't see why almost everybody prefers the AWM to the DSR. The minimal damage advantage and the double zoom(which I actually find to slow me down) seem to be far outweighed by the semi-auto capabilities and faster reload of the DSR. Can somebody enlighten me on why most prefer the AWM. I have owned and used both snipers, and i really find the DSR to be the superior weapon.
Thanks in advance

draw time on the dsr is too long, along with its inability to quickly unscope after shooting, as you have to wait until the gun can be fired again to unzoom.
the awm just feels more natural to most people, most likely because of it has been around longer. I guess it attracts new people two because it resembles the m700 more if they used that and liked it. Oh and plus it is in gp crates as a temp gun, which means more people get their hands on it than the dsr and can decide they want to spend the majority of the gp on it. -

AWM has faster reload. AWM has a shorter load time when you switch to it, so you can fire it faster. Two scopes makes close combat easier. You can jump around quicker and dodge bullets in the time between each AWM shot, unlike the DSR. People think the DSR is nooby, like the M12s and SCAR Light.
I own the DSR and I like it better. -
Honestly, I believe people will prefer AWM even it's firerate is lower than DSR. 1st one should because of the scope. AWM can double, while DSR can't. 2nd, after a shot, AWM then quit the scope for a while and you can see the whole place if other enemies are approaching, while DSR not (this is the point I hate the most about DSR)

From my experience, I find the zoom of the AWM to be just perfect for mid range quick-scoping. The DSR-1 zooms in a bit too much for my liking. That being said, however, it's much better at long range since you don't have to zoom in twice like you do with the AWM.
