Stuck at "Connecting Channel"
Since yesterday I am unable to to play at all. I can login and browse to a server. But when I select a channel and doubleclick on it, I am stuck at "connecting Channel". I tried to leave it like that for some time. After a couple of minutes, I get "Disconnected from server" and then I am moved to the server selection screen. And Immediatly I will get another "Disconnected from server" and the game window exits.
I tried to run the game after turning off the firewall and anti virus. But no change. I still get get stuck at the same place. Please help.

Clearly the connection is still being blocked. Try uninstalling your anti-virus because even when you turn it off, it leaves a few things running for safety precaution, hence why the connection continues to be blocked.
No its not the anit virus. I tried the us alpha server and was ableto get to a room. The ping is very bad though. The issues happens to me mainly on UK servers. -

Cossfire is completly unplayable for me. I get stuck at "Connecting Channel" 9 out of 10 times I attempt. So I guess this is it for me. Have fun... -

I did a complete uninstall and re-install. Still having the same problem. So its cetainly not my PC. It must be a server side patch that was rolled out recenly. -
Tried manual patching. The issue still exists. 1 point to note. I was not able to overwrite CF_G4box.exe as windows keeps saying its being used. But I couldn't find it in the task manager (admin) though.

I am able to join a room occationally. but connecting to channel, joining game room all takes considerable delay. I checked my connection, it has no issues. -

Ok. It seem the issue is with serious lagin moving farward and backword. Except for the server selection window, every thing is heavily lagging. I usually have 180-220 ping ingame. And there is no change to ingame ping. But I noticed two things,
1. Connecting to channel, joining a room, going back to the channel selection windows all takes 2-4 minutes. And many times it times out saying "Disconnected from Server"
2. The FPS has seriously gown down. Mine is a high end machine which can run cryss smoothly. But Crossfire now gives me 25-40 FPS. I used to get 160-200 FPS a few months/weeks back.
There is something wrong in the programming. May be more hak.er checks are causing this.
