Crossfire wont start

i downloaded crossfire and when i press start game it says 'failed to download versin.ini.' if u no wat this stupid thing is plz tell me. i think it might be cause of norton anti virus, but idk how to turn that off. i tried to delete it off control panel and it wont let me
