How To Transport A Full Tower Desktop?

I'm going to be buying a full tower desktop this July at our second house in Florida. The problem is i have to take a plan back to my house in New Jersey for football season. Any ideas on how i would/could transport it?

My current idea is take the mobo/psu/gpu/cpu/HD and pack it into my overhead in its original packaging and put the case under the plane.

No idea if that would work.

computer parts plus static from styrofoam = no good

there is nothing risky about going through UPS, if you are worried that the parts will get there before you do, send it to a family/friend's house.

Unless it is gigantic, take it as a carry on to the plane as a whole.

avoid X ray scan as it may damage the harddrive.

You can also take a train, and bring it on the train with you.

You cant take it on the plane with you... thats just dumb

How would i go about with the shipping?

Put all the components into their original packages and ship together? or individual?

Dang man, how much are you making a week before taxes?

I know with my mom who is a dental hygienist also pays a boat load in taxes out of her pay check.

why cant you take it to the airplane?

people can take any thing if it is not liquid or a bomb or a weapon, as long as it fits the size, and it can be as heavy as a bag of gold.

it's called personal carry-on.

Make a handle with duct type.
