About Gift card system

It states that to get the ribbon ZP for everyone, I have to get gift or gift other. However, I don't have some specific types of card to give. I have debit card but they not allow me to use it for gift. So anyone here can tell me is there possible to get that ribbon with visa card? or I have to purchase those types of card to gift other?
