If you manage to log in on the forums, then you most likely wrote your username or your password wrong when trying to log in to the game.

The passwords are case-sensitive, so try typing it exactly the way you typed it when you registered. Check if your caps lock is on, and use capitals in places that you did when you registered.

try removing all content from the login ID and password bars, and try re-typing it.

failing that, send a support ticket.

Are you sure that you downloaded this version of Crossfire and not another one? There exist several version of the game, so it might be a possibility. Unless you downloaded the client from this site that is.

Check both the username and the password. Make sure caps is closed.

If you downloaded the europe version then go to their site and register there. This site is for the NA\UK version, so by registering on this site you only create an account for this version of Crossfire.
