A few questions for veterans/experienced players

Q1: about picking c4, sometimes when u pick c4 off the ground it automatically switches to c4 then to ur gun, is this random or what?

Q2: about wallbang, how does it work? is it like every gun has it's own percentage of wallbang or each bullet is different or they're sorted in 2 groups- 1 is full wallbang and the 2nd has x% wallbang?

Q3: does wallbang affect the damage on players with armor?

Q4: about jumpshots, is there a specific way to do them or just luck?

Thanks in advance for answering!

1: Nope, it's just a thing it switches to C4 but if your shooting and pick it up ur gun stays
Really never thought about it.....maybe it switches sometimes but It mostly stays if you keep shooting and pick it up what I noticed than. on BL as ghost I do notice when your in the middle of ur melee attack it won't switch to c4

2: Some guns just have 100% wallbang and some not so it will all depend on the guns damage rate how much % it actually subtracts from each gun maybe gunman knows it.

3: Probably random or depends were you hit them is what I speculate

4: when your in air hold ctrl and shoot sometimes helps but mostly just really luck also the hitting register in air sucks.

1- sometimes it doesn't switch even if u're not shooting and sometimes switches even if shooting, and once in GM did right click with shovel and picked c4, it switched to c4 but still continued the atk, so..

4- some ppl say press ctrl the moment u shot and the first bullet will be accurate, i've tried that but either my timing is wrong or it was a lie

    grrrrrr i don't know, that's why i asked

    1-Thats normal
2-Each gun has percentage of wallbang , some dont have any like m9 , some have full wallbang like xm8 , all damage is decreased by armor except fall damage (3 answered(
4-Luck and knowing where the bullet is morel likely to stray

Was using axe, yesterday on BL the moment I pressed my right mouse button and picked up the c4 it did the axe stab but still picked up the c4 so I guess it really depends on your timing.

And ya I did hear the first shot if you hold ctrl will be always 100% accurate but try aiming when you fall down... first shot not always hits so u end up spraying and missing all ur bullets I guess practice allot of jump shots?

Q1: about picking c4, sometimes when u pick c4 off the ground it automatically switches to c4 then to ur gun, is this random or what?

It's like picking up any other weapon, nothing special.

Q2: about wallbang, how does it work? is it like every gun has it's own percentage of wallbang or each bullet is different or they're sorted in 2 groups- 1 is full wallbang and the 2nd has x% wallbang?

Which wall bang do you mean?

If you mean shooting through the stairs and such, it's the same for all weapons.

If it's wall shot damage, it depends on the weapon you're using. For example Xm8, g36k, M4 Patriot and other weapons. Do all the damage they normally do though the box.

Q3: does wallbang affect the damage on players with armor?

No, if you shoot someone who has armor with xm8 or any other full wallbang weapon, the damage is still decreased.

Q4: about jumpshots, is there a specific way to do them or just luck?

In TD Orbital station, the shot is dead accurate when you jump and crouch, other than that, it's mostly luck.

    Thanks in advance for answering!

    You're welcome!
  • 4- try to jump from an higher spot and hold ctrl

Q1: is just something they must to fix(i failed in ghost mode with this bug, when i was hitting the enemy i took the bomb from the ground and they say me).

Q2 & Q3: when you shoot in a player behind a box, is like that box isn't there (full wallbang)!!

Q4: ctrl + aim on the legs(btw is a bit of luck).
  • First 3 Questions have been answered correctly,
    But i have a comment on the 4th :
Some Forumers said that holding CTRL while in the air will give you 100% accurate,
    This is correct.
And you can master it fast.
Play alot of Orbital station TD With AWM Or any sniper rifle for some time and you will master it.
    Hope i helped.

That is actually not correct, the shot is dead accurate in air when you crouch in Orbital station only. Whilst in every other map it's just luck.

Ctrl + quick scope, as i know, and as i tested, is enough accurate !!

I read the same thing in forums that mad did..

I think they where talking about sniper in specific though thsat...

the first shot while jump/crouch will be accurate every time...

and the suggestion was to practice in orbital since the gravoity allowed more time to complete the move...

he could have been wrong but it was posted as suchh...
  • I just searched the topic some...

cant find the piece I was talking about.

But it seems as if the falling off a ledge is accurate for the first shot if you dont hit any movement keys...

As I said, that is wrong, try jumping from a side in prison while crouching and shoot, it won't be accurate every time. On the other hand, in Orbital Station as long as you are crouched, the shots will always be dead accurate.

    1. Never really bothered about the C4 thing.
    2. Certain guns (XM8, M14, etc) have deadly wall bang.
    3. Yes
    4. Hold crouch at the peak of your jump. It straightens your shot and improves your aim.

Kept it pretty short but a lot of people have given good answers already :)

    No,
what i said is totally correct.
If you cant do it,its your problem.

    1. Random, I guess. Never had that problem.
    2. Every gun has it's own %
    3. Wall bang on a person with armour will be less than a person without, just like regular.
    4. JUMPshots are luck. You can walk off a ledge or anything and crouch and it will be 100% accurate.

What I said is a fact, it's nothing about my ability to do whatever you said.

And considering I have been playing this game for 2 years more than you did, as well as having more than 3x the experience, I think you should just go try it for yourself.

EDIT: It IS more accurate, but not dead accurate like in Orbital Station.

Do you think that i will post something before trying it?
anyway as i stated its a skill more of luck.
alot and by alot i mean MANY Players can do it already.
    its totally easy.

Dude, what don't you understand? It doesn't take any skill, you can't discuss a fact.
  • So, as i understood- each weapon has it's own % wallbang
armor will always decrease the damage (except falling) even if it was by a full wallbang gun

as for the c4, none knows
    and for jumpshots, err..not sure.

Well, i can do it in Orbital station but cant in other maps :x

so u're saying that if u fall down (by walking) and crouch it's accurate but if i jump it's random?
    never thought of that O_o

Its not a fact because it didnt get confirmed by a GM.
This my opinion in this matter and untill a GM Say something else i will say my opinion is correct.
    End of disussion.

You can't have an opinion on this matter. You're basically opinionating a fact, if you try it out for yourself, what I said is hundred % correct. Just because as I said before, it's a fact. By the way, facts don't get confirmed by GM's.

How can you say its a FACT?
Unless you are 1 of the DEV's ;)
  • Chill out guys, you're making the baby cry!

    OT :
If you look closely at footage of jumpshots, most of them are pure luck, and the guy doesn't aim where the bullet actually hits. I think it's as accurate as non scoping are full spraying.

is the no scope luck too?
    Guys go watch xfam0usx videos.

No scopes are luck, because they don't always go straight, otherwise no one would bother quickscoping, we would all no scope all the time -_-'.
In videos, you see when trick shots actually work, but when you try them yourself, you realize you can't always succeed (especially while recording).

Yes, no scopes are luck and i'm sure :)
if you crouch and shoot from close-mid range ~90% will hit target but for long ranges it sux, or else u wont see any1 scoping /justsaying
i can record 2142354 games and pick the1 where i got lucky--vids don't mean anything

I respect your opinion and i think its right.
but sometimes xfam0usx play live with commentary and gets some nice kills anyway if there isnt some moves that needs luck the game wont be funny.right?

    I admit it,
You guys are right in the no scope thing.
But in QS in air thing i still think it isnt luck and its skill. :D
