Nightfall Update
This is for those who have been experiencing issues with patching their
client. The following downloads contain the latest patch version of each
file, so you don't have to use the automatic patcher. This method of
patching your client should solve any: FILE IS CHANGED W[2007] L[0]
and other File Changed/Forged Errors

How To Manual PatchNightfall Update

client. The following downloads contain the latest patch version of each
file, so you don't have to use the automatic patcher. This method of

Download Here
Step 1. Download all the files listed above
Step 2. Extract them all to your Desktop
Step 3. First, open the "Crossfire" folder you downloaded, and drag all its contents to C:/Program Files x86/Z8Games/Crossfire/
Step 4. Drag the files named "NationMsz", "Shader", and "UI" to C:/Program Files x86/Z8Games/Crossfire/rez/
Step 5. Open the file you downloaded named "rez", and drag all its contents to C:/Program Files x86/Z8Games/Crossfire/rez/
(note: multiple times it'll ask you if you want to replace "so and so" folder/file, click Yes on all of them)

I will try to do this every major patch.

This should be sticky for people who cant patch.
Yes, I'll be doing it every major patch.
This seems to be the solution to various errors, because some have troubles when patching, and some essential files aren't fully downloaded, therefor causing problems like the Black Market items not showing, Maps wont load, etc. -

You won't need the xtrap folder for a manual patch, as everytime you open Crossfire, the xtrap folder recreates itself. If you're having troubles getting the xtrap file because it won't allow you to update it, turn off any recording software (gamebooster, fraps, bandicam, etc.), anti-viruses (norton, avg, mcafee, avira, etc.), or chatting software (xfire, ebuddy, msn, etc.) -
i press on the downlode button but it just come up with the connection has timed out ? on all of tham.
i have good internet to and A GOOD PC' it just the game is not leting me patch the last bit lol it just stops
This is not the case for me. The file downloads instantly.
