Climbing Up Ladders Slowly

It's been a problem for me for about a year now. I always find that everyone goes up ladders WAY faster than me, I go up very slowly, and when I hit the top, it's a little bit glitchy going off the ladder.

Any clue as to why this is?

That is true, my resolution is set high.

Is this due to my resolution in-game, or my general screen resolution?

I run at 1366 x 768

in game high resolution lowers fps also

I'm aware, but my computer can handle any of the new games that come out on Ultra High, so I'm pretty sure I wont have to worry about going any lower than 200 FPS on Crossfire.

look forward with your character instead of up. that's usually the problem

I think its in game resolution. Probably just check/test to be sure. I had the some problem a long time ago. :P

the higher FPS you have the slower you climb. wierd, but it's true. also looking up while climbing can make it worse.

Truth

-Weapon, of course with a knife at the start of the climb will result in a faster climb
-Look straight
-FPS and Resolution is bs, thats a illusion, mindtrix...just use a light weapon and look straight, u can always switch when you reach the top ...damn i shouldnt have told you now your going to kill me....GL

This is what I was always told, and when I got a better computer with more fps I started going up ladders slow as hell.

Its not. Using an old PC, its clear you will go up faster than with a good PC. From experience.
