Decent computer for CF?
Do you think this computer could handle crossfire? I made a thread on this before asking what monitor to get and I think I'm going to buy it. I need a computer in my garage anyway MUHAHA (girlfriend shall murder me!) So what kind of frames do you think I would get?
Thanks.

Course you can play CF without RAM it's crossfire lul game that does not require much but it's best to buy at least 4-8 GB of RAM -
CJust an educational guess, but no.
Since Crossfire is CPU and RAM based, I'd recommend 8GB of RAM for the best performance. 16GB if you can afford it, but not sure if your computer would support it.
I thought all computers were made with atleast SOME RAM? If not does anyone know how to put RAM into your computer? Or provide a link on how to do it? I'm not to good with computers

this is better for CF. free shipping.
CF really uses a lot of CPU power more than GPU power. i7 3.4 ghz is really good for this game.
it is much much faster than phenom at running CF.
You should get 200 fps. if u get a decent GPU u can get more than that.
that one on ebay is barebone, meaning u have to buy your own ssd or hd, windows7, ram, gpu, etc etc. -

Yes all computers have RAM. But you can add more with adding RAM chips into your motherboard. Just grab 2gb ddr3 sticks and replace the old ones. -

It uses no GPU power. Its all CPU.. and RAM obviously. You arent running a PC without RAM.ZDeadshotZ2 wrote: »I get 250-300fps
No you dont. -

No you dont.
I upgraded my gpu from hd 6770 to 560 ti and noticed a lot of improvement. not in fps but in terms of laginess. upgrading to 16 gb from 8 gb helped a lot too.
but i7 3.4 ghz will be much more of an upgrade for CF. -

It will be an upgrade for any system. But the GPU... doesnt help. Its a waste of money for Crossfire. -

But I have I7 980x CPU and 16gb RAM and 2 high end graphic cards.
You don't need it but it helps a bit. Also great for other games.
do you really get 300 fps? if so thats the highest i have heard on CF.
someone said it is capped around 200+ -
No its not? I can get over 250 in 1v1's
And i dont have an alienware.
@giggle that means i have a pc from nasa
You have a PC that defies logic.. or youre lying. Grab a video showing how you broke CF
250 fps is higher than mine.
so if i5 is that good, i7 will raise it even more.
there is no fps cap then?
There is -

So can we get some screen shots of 250, or even 300 fps ? -
1. its a barebone computer, which means some parts are gonna missing and you will have to install them yourself
2. your gpu is integrated, which means it sucks
3. you dont need 550w to run this computer, i see no components that are outside of your mobo, so the consumption will be low
well for that price, its not very good, plus some parts you will have to buy (from wat im seeing, youre missing your ram and hard drive, you dont even have a mouse and keyboard for free hahaha xD) :O you dont have a dvd drive + i hope you can hack windows cause thats gonna cost u an arm
at full settings, i would say around 50fps
my advice, dont buy it -

Getting a video of it is different.
Fine. I will get a video and upload it somewhere. You don't realize my CPU is one of the best on the market. It has a liquid cooling system so it don't overheat. Also with my RAM and video cards its not hard. -

Im well aware of that.
Get a recording with a camera or a phone whilst playing. Im finding it difficult to believe you get a constant 250 on a game capped around 200
