Start-Up (please help)
I'm having trouble launching crossfire. I ran it completely as normal yesterday, even while using this thing called "game booster". Today after tweaking some of the settings in game booster, CF won't start. The g4_box will launch, but as soon as I press the green "start" button, nothing happens. Task manager says the patcher is running, but I don't see any other processes, nor do I see the patcher actually running!
So I uninstall Crossfire AND Game Booster, and re-install crossfire. Still, it doesn't work. Does anyone here know what to do?

Try a system restore, since this seems to be a recent problem, before you tweaked your settings in GameBooster (though this shouldnt have affected crossfire).
Start > Search > System Restore
Select the most recent restore point (or the point in which your crossfire was running properly). This will remove any saved progress, or applications that you've saved/downloaded during the time of now, until the restore point you've selected, so make a wise decision before doing so.
This is a temporary solution. If this doesn't work for you, I'll look for another method. -
