Yes another thread.. I just want to express my oppinion
we wont make it. As far as ive seen we havent even made 10m kills yet. And its the second day... Thats just my oppinion.. Correct me if im wrong
We will make it if we work as a team. And it's not second day yet because the event started today (17/05/2012) so we have got 4 more days left. Plus we only need around 25m kills per day. -
Um... we already have >3 million kills. And it's 10 am. Will definitely reach our daily target of 15 million per day.
And think about the negative backlash if 100M weren't an easy number to attain. Every single player in the community would complain about how the GMs screwed us. I can complain about not getting a certain ribbon (e.g. Showdown Sheriff), but other people HAVE this ribbon, so it's not like it's impossible to get.
On the other hand, if we don't reach 100M, NO ONE gets the ribbon. It's not just going to be a few people complaining. The GMs are smart enough not to create a sh!tstorm for themselves.
Lastly, how do we know that the number on the counter is real? For all we know, they could be making up the numbers to make sure that we reach the goal. You just have to take it on trust. But if we haven't reached 60M on the fourth day. Guess what, I bet those numbers on the counter are going to be replaced by some made-up ones... -

My friend you forgot something really important... This ribbon DOES NOT require money , while other ribbons request a lot of money . EXAMPLE : The one with the TOKENS -

You're right... people would be even angrier about missing the ribbon because the ribbon would have been essentially "free" -
After first 24 hours of event we can make more accurate statistical calculation.
BTW Dont forget that evening and weekend activity higher.
Coz after 10 hours from the start (weak daylight available online) - 3.3 M. Full Time - 168 hours, 16.8*3.3 = 55.44M -

1 kill means one death. LOL.
Oh plus the escape mode kills for escaping, so kills is easier anyway, as i bet more escape mode bonus kills will be awarded than suicides/team nades. -
As said multiple times: z8 wont put an unreachable number of kills. They track how much kills are usually made in a week.
Furthermore you should consider that in the weekend there is a huge increase in the amount of players. And there are in NA servers (and globally as well) now more people online than earlier today. We got for example 3 million kills in only the last 5 hours. As it's 7,428,844 now and was 4,629,969 back then (according to CarTMan84).
And @ the guy above me: it started at 00:01 May 17th and goes on until 23:59 May 23th. So that's 7 days minus 2 minutes.
