slower load?

Most likely your computer is fragmented and is having trouble finding all the files.

Try defraging your computer.
If that fails, uninstall CF, Defragment, and then reinstall.

I didn't get any lower fps or loading issues. Idk why it's happening to some people.. might be what VATAV said. There's no answer to what is exactly causing it. But I'm sure the staff knows some people are having issues. Since this has been around the forums. So jsut wait and see what happens. Probably be better to put in a support ticket. You'll get an answer most likely.

Just going to explain how computers save things.

When something needs to be saved, the computer looks for the first open memory space.
It doesn't care what the size of the space is, just that it is open.

Say for example your patching and saving the new map that is about 37MB.
The computer well scanning for a open memory spot sees a 6MB open space.
Seeing this open space, it tries to cram 37MB into the 6MB space.
Once it sees the space is nearly full, it decides to split 31MB off of the save and leaves a note saying that the data is to be continued.

It scans for the next open space and sees it has 10MB.
It repeats the process of filling it with 10MB of the 31 MB left and put a note saying that this is the information continued and another note saying the information is to be continued. And repeat.

The 37MB map is split into 4 groups and every time the computer needs to reference the map it needs to find all 4 groups of the info. This takes time and slows down everything.

Defraging sees all these notes and grabs the attached information, combines them, and reorganizes everything so they are all together in tidy and logical fashion.

My game started to load a single game a lot slower after the Ankara S&D update. It now loads 1/8 of the load bar, goes into a black screen for 2 minutes, then after it shows the normal loading screen and s**** to 3/4 of the load bar, shows my cursor for some reason then disappears again and finally loads the map fully. But that's only for the first game which takes around 5 minutes overall to load. My average match now takes 3 minutes to load. Haha

I tried uninstalling then reinstalling again, but nothing helped. I am yet to try defragging though, only because I don't have enough free space.
