Server Connection Failed

So I opened CF to see that it was downloading some sort of new patch or something. After the start button turns green, I click on it, and the loading "game-watcher" think pops up. This is where the bar would normally fill with orange and then the game would start, but instead, it stops at step 4 and says:
"failed to connect to server: W[2003] L[0]"
What do I do? Are the CF servers down for maintenance or is there some other issue?

The content patch will be about 5 hours long. It started 10PM EDT (1 hour ago).

I can't download the new content automatically from the launcher ,, any direct link for this update plz ??

You wont be able to download the content until the developers are finished patching Crossfire. The process will take about 2-3 more hours, in the mean time, find something else to occupy you. Why not go check out the Crossfire Barracks, and introduce yourself?
