Question.
Hey.
Is starting Crossfire with a .bat file illegal? i saw it on a video, it gives you a little bit more fps.
This is what the file should contain:
@echo off
cd /d "path to folder"
start /high -Your game's name-.exe
Any comments appreciated. : )
Ps. it should be saved in cf folder and saved as .bat, using notepad.

It is not interfering or changing anything in the CF files.
All that does is start CF with a higher priority.
So no, I don't believe it to be against the rules. -

Anything that you have to change based on files Or & add a image to the Log In section, Then yes it's illegal.
Off Topic: As for Modding, you Can mod your Kill Marks, & Sounds. Any other files to be change, yes is against the rules.
P.S if im missing anything else, please apply on what i'm missing. -

it better your fps.
Game booster does an exact thing Task Manager does and consumes additional memory while doing so, useless program IMO.
OT: Why bother with .bat files and risking ban (if its deemed illegal by GM's) when you can simply go to Task Manager, right click Crossfire and set High Priority (Do not choose real time priority as it will eat 99% process time). -

Yeah man! it was an awesome cartoon : D
OT: I think i wont use it, i don't want to risk to be banned, like Chaoshowler1 said ill give high prority from the task manager. Thank you errbody : ) -
Yeh it's fine, although I see no point in it. You have to launch the patcher first to play the game which renders the high priority pointless, you may as well change the priority via the task manager once the client's loaded.
Oh, well i won't use it then. Thank you [Mod]Rory, you can close the thread now if u wish : )
