Alpha Server, Channel 1 Spammers

We all know *insert name of bot* because they're constantly spamming "Free Aimbot Hacks" in the lobby chat. Why are Game Moderators incapable of removing these pestering bots, better yet, why not just censor the whole phrase "Free Aimbot Hacks"?

This is "hackusation" in a way and your post will be changed.

Just take a SS of the person and sent it to support for them to ban them. I've done it before and I got PM from Support thanking me for telling them after a day.

But yet, they get a new account just to spam. see this is a OTHER reason out of Millions why i want to be i.g mod. that spam freezes my computer

Oh whoops! I guess since it's a bot, I just assumed it was okay, my bad, main post changed.

@CryingMonkey That's good and all, but it seems they just come back a day later, and continue with their routine of spamming.

Well, we have this also at Uk 1 Ch 1 or 2, always the same guy, if maybe joey033 get banned, he comes back with joey034.

That's a very good idea, would solve the problem completely considering macros aren't used for anything else on Crossfire, other than spamming.

Reported a spammer on uk1-10 3 times in the last 2 months,keeps spamming.Oh well,who cares if the kids get their accounts stolen for beeing dumb and trying to download hacks.

I used to report these and Saidin would boot them out immediately.

Also the word censor isnt a simple "enter word to block". Smilegate have to code it in so it has to get approved first then sent to Smilegate who in turn have so many other games to manage, requests tend to get 2nd priority unless its important.

My understanding is that the chat spam is a side effect from someone installing the hack.

For instance, if the pretend user TastyGreenApple downloads a hack. Two things occur...PC gets keylogged and it also initiates a bot chat spam from the pretend user "Joey".

They do ban them but its not exactly hard to make a new account and start it all over again.... Its an endless cycle. They do what they can with the chat filter to block their spam but its easily avoided.

If they censor the phrase "Free Aimbot Hacks", the word freedom would be censored.
