how to lower fps

There must be something pretty wrong for your fps to change by that much... I'd run a virus scan to be on the safe side if I was you. Also press ctrl+alt+delete and go to task manager and look if there are any unusual processes taking up a lot of resources.
Please post in the Technical Help section next time you have a problem like this. -
If you try everything based on to Higher your FPS then your graphic video is damage (like mine, im using a laptop).Idk what happened but my fps is super low 17-25 kinda annoying cause its killing my progress can someone help me to retain my previous fps which was between 70-150
*increase your ram
*make sure Hard Disk drive isn't full
*Better on your Graphic video
(this based on laptop & same for PC)
This should better your FPS by 20
*Click on your start menu
*Right click on Computers
*Click on Properties & Click on System Protection(A window will open)
*Click on the tab that say Advance
* Click on the 1st Settings(Visual effects, processor scheduling, memory usage, etc..)
*a window will open name as Performance Option
*On Tab Visual Effects
* Click on where it say Adjust for Best Performance
(Now it will change your computer looks & YES you can change it back by follow the 1st step & instead of clicking Adjust for Best Performances, you will now Click Let Windows Choose WHat's Best for my Computer it will return back to normal)

NO. CF doesnt use the GFX Card... i dunno how many times ive said this today
That will not increase his fps by 20. I guarantee that. -

Nah you wont need that much. 30 fps for reviews is plenty. Videos only playback at that framerate anyway so recording any higher is pointless.
Just have fraps lock at 30 fps when recording.... but like Crackindomes said... youll need a better pc to accommodate for the frame drops that will probably happen. Id say you only need 60 fps (when not recording) for reviews... gameplay however... youll want to record at 60 so its smooth while you play.
Generally I say 20-30 more fps than what you plan to record at is what you want to have. -
