Black Bars on the edge of my screen

Hi. I have this laptop for almost 2 years now and i have always played with them black bars on the left and right sides of the screen
But today i realized that it makes the screen rly small. Any tip on how to remove them?
I have a 17" monitor on my laptop

Thats not going to fix this. I also have had this issue.

to resolve it and make the game fullscreen, you dont even need to have CF running first.

you must go into your display settings, and set it to display full screen at all times. im not exactly sure how to do it, since I did it a while back, but it was pretty easy to find. try going into advanced options of display options.
