Warning: Account Trading
First, you must realize that account trading violates Crossfire's rules, you risk being punished by even taking part in the trade.
Other players will try and convince you that they seriously want your account, and are willing to trade their account which contain 'beautiful' guns. Realistically, they're going to take your account after the trade, and revert their own account through e-mail, leaving you with absolutely nothing. As convincing, or generous these players may sound, they are going to scam you out of your account. They may even give their ID and Password first, this doesn't mean that they can't revert their account, which they'll do shortly after you give them your ID and Password.
If you ever see a player asking to trade accounts, send a Support Ticket immediately, along with a screenshot of the player saying it. Make sure to add as much information as possible.
This little scam has been going on for far too long. Better to let everyone know about it, so everyone can stay a little more safe!

Who would be stupid enough to buy something off the internet from a complete stranger. I'd rather buy it from someone in real life that I know. -

It's not about purchasing, this is why it's such a popular scam. Younger players are more vulnerable to this scam because they're thinking, "well I did work hard on this account, but the account I'm trading my account for has plenty of better weapons, and I'm not going to lose any money or anything!" It sounds like such a great idea in their heads.
Common sense isn't so common. -
i just stick to my own-made accounts. it's easier, you know the info, the first info, all the stuff that you need to know. trading, buying and whatnot is pathetic in my opinion, it's stupid of the player to even do any of it, you're better off sticking to your own account in the long run.
edit: 1337 posts~ ahaha. -
I'm glad you made a thread about this. In Game i am & trying to warn those not to buy, trade nor sell any accounts. For those who don't notice who would, well In Game there many & many people willing to be the buyer or the one who's offering services.First, you must realize that account trading violates Crossfire's rules, you risk being punished by even taking part in the trade.

They have their account ready for a revert email. It wont work, hence why the whole account trading scam is 100% risky.Gh0st_Slay3r wrote: »All the regular forumers all know everything you just posted. People who were scammed generally dont come to the forums to complain after they have had their account stolen.... So its not really gonna help a whole lot of people.
Yes, general Forumers know, but you must not visit the Technical Support section very often, because 15-20% of the threads there are about stolen accounts. -

Valid point, though this is just me. I actually created it because I was playing Crossfire with a friend who was sitting next to me using my laptop, and he was literally about to fall for this scam. Thankfully I'm older, and more wise than him, and was able to explain that he'd only get screwed over in the end.
I've also been asked various times to "trade accounts," which means it must be working quite well as a scam if they continue using it as a method. -
same way I feel. idiotas. lol.If anyone would fall for such a scam they shouldn't be allowed to play online games. Let alone use a PC.
Anyone with a little bit of common sense won't fall for anything like that. But yeah, there is a handful that will, unfortunately for them. -

and that is why I said most people dont even come to the forums until after their account is already stolen... by that time your thread isnt gonna help them lol xD -
Most people that fall for this do not come to the forums until they have already lost the account. There is nothing that can be done for them on the forums. This subject has been posted about many times. All the information needed is in this post.
Keep your Account Info Secure! Do not fall for scam sites. -

Oh, I see what you meant. There should be a more efficient way to notify in-game players... -
