  • I will try to find out something about your issue, I got a few other things to do first. Expect an answer within about 1-2 hours. If I forget or something, just shoot me a PM when you get back on.
  • What OS you use: XP , Windows 7 , Vista
    How much Ram you have?
PC spec. will get you along way on a fix.

Not really necessary for a hack tool error, usually a program or something on the computer, even inert programs on the computer will trigger this. (ie. minecraft mods... yes I'm not kidding, some minecraft mod files can trigger XTraps security feature but like I said, "only some", as well as incognito browsers such as njutrino(including incognito browsing programs), inert iobit programs(even when disabled, must be uninstalled or will trigger the system), and mods for World of Warcraft. These can all trigger XTrap.)

I had an excellent suggestion given to me to start up in Safe Mode, of course you need to choose the one [Safe Mode (with networking)] and try to run the game from there, I will expect you to get an error but if it triggers there than I can be sure that it is most certainly a program running in the background.(even if it isn't in the task manager it can still activate itself as soon as you connect to the internet with CF.)

If it triggers the error, or a different error(post error number please if it happens), let me know and then post or if you rather, for personal reasons, PM me a screenshot or list of all programs on your computer located on your Programs and Features via the Control Panel and I will tell you if I see any program that I know of that might interfer and cause this problem.
  • A common reason for this is because your internet cut out during gameplay. Is your internet choppy, meaning does it cut out from time to time? If you're on WiFi (wireless internet), then that may be the problem. Crossfire cannot run without internet access.

The other problem may be what WinBack466 suggested, otherwise I suggest turning off any firewalls, as they may interrupt access, and therefor causing this error.

    Good luck, post results.
