Cyborg rat 7?
Hey guys, I just bought this mouse for about $90, does anyone own this mouse and play crossfire with it? If so, could you express to me what your experiences have been like? Thanks. Also, if you own this mouse, could you tell me what mousepad you use and how reliable it has been?

In my opinion, a basic mouse is also great, don't forget that a mouse has to be usable after all.
And spending alot on a mouse is quite useless.
A computer, I can understand, but a mouse...
However, I can't provide you any informations about this mouse, sorry. -

i have the mouse rat 9 and in my opinion it is not a only game mouse... is also usable in everyday occasions... and in-game is extremely precise, extremely fast and with a taito roccat mousepad is the best solution for all type of use... the rat 7 is also customizable in height so you can decide and try different mode of play and choose the more confortable for you... and with this mouse forget all pain in the wrist...
in my opinion the best money spent in a computer accessories -
Cyborg Rat 7 is the mouse my friend at school has, I believe. He was telling me about it, and it sounds really interesting, but I like to stick to the basic lazer mouse, honestly. I could do with an upgrade, but I do just fine with this mouse. As for the mouse changing your skills, I'm not sure if this will happen. As a mouse is a mouse, and skill must be earned through practice.
Good luck with it though, should be some fun! -

Got 3 razers, they were all crap.. Deathadder lasted for about 8 months. Imperator 4 months and it kept doing weird things. Mamba has issues with lifting off the mouse. I'd say the Steel Series Sensei is the best choice for FPS's. A friend of mine got the RAT7 and he claims it's really good. I'll probably get the MMO7 if I got the money for it.

Equipment makes a huge difference. -
One of my classmates had a RAT 9. He rarely plays, but I tried it and thought it is not very useful for cf, as it is not as developed as other famous FPS. I definetly prefer my old & buggy ibm desktop mouse.
But many guys at school play Call of Duty or whatever game that worth it, and said that they wouldn't use a cyborg to play, especially the RAT 9 that is wireless.
Anyway the mouse doesn't do everything. The player does!!
So save your money and spend it in your computer or perhaps buy some more zp...
PS: When he bought he said that it was a good investment for about 5 years, and in the end he broke it a few months ago just by carrying it in his case.
So be aware the left side (for the thumb) isn't very robust. -

How so? My cousin spends all his money upgrading his desktop (infact, I bought his secondary desktop from him for $750, the one I'm using now) and he has a Razer Mouse & Keyboard, both look super cool, but I'm extremely bad with them on Crossfire. They aren't anything like the $4 Dell mouse I have, and the $10 logitech keyboard I have, which make me go 12-2 in S&D.
I suppose it all comes down to preference. Maybe for you it'll improve your accuracy, and everything, but for me, it's not going to do much. -

i just have a regular cheap o mouse..eh it's good enough for me i guess. -

Mouse and keyboard don't make a huge difference, but things like a headset and good desktop do.
I played with about 15 fps, garbage 5$ headset, random wireless mouse, no mousepad, and bad keyboard for a long time. Then I upgraded everything, and do way better. -

I completely agree. I used to play on my laptop, which varied from 45-70 FPS, then upgraded my desktop, which now runs at a beautiful 220 FPS, and I am able to play much better. I also invested some money into headphones for my iPod, not intended for my computer, but then realized I could use them for Crossfire, and they really help with pinpointing footsteps in S&D. Headphones are sure to increase your K/D as long as you're listening to footsteps. -
i'm on a laptop for the time being. It's good enough for me, my fps go 40's to 70's and that cause my graphic video is kinda bad, where a PC will do much much better.I play on a laptop and this is not too bad.
I don't want to invest in new brand desktop just for this game. I don't think it worth it!
Yeah I think the best investment is the headset/headphone. -
Honestly, it doesn't matter.
a mouse might be a little bit better then another mouse but in the end they are all the same, especially if the game is as bad as crossfire.
Once you get used to your mouse they are all the same.
I have a gaming mouse at the moment and I also used the Cyborg mouse, and those don't make you play better.
But it's not a waste of money. They look great and they also feel great, but they don't make you play any better.
