FPS Problems

Just last week i was playing with 150 FPS, perfectly normal.
Now i get max 50 FPS. What is wrong with my game?

I haven't changed anything, it just dropped by itself.

Any advice on how to get my FPS back?

Download game booster?
also:
Try getting a graphics card thats good.

It may have been a change in your network that you may not know about that caused the problem.

I constantly have this problem. I can constantly have 70-80 FPS and then it just DROPS (like the screen freezes for a fraction of a second) about 24-40 frames every odd amount of time.

Other times it sounds like the start of the heartbeat (the sound after you're hit with a grenade) and when you move it causes the FPS to drop to around 0-20 for a short time and then goes back to normal.

I do get this sometimes too, but i don't think its that.

You might have a virus/malware on it.

Download Lavasoft's Ad-aware

now, and scan your pc.

There are lots of thing you can do to keep your FPS at the max:

Use gameboost, or Gboost, or jetBoost.

use jetCleaner, service.msc tweak, defrag,

change windows setting to maximum performance,

use only MS essential for real time anti virus,

use only windows firewall,

use only Ad-aware for scanning once a week.

Uninstall unused softwares with RevoUninstaller.

Malwarebytes + Avast = all you need.

Better imo :P

But anyway there is probably something in your background running.
Or your GPU/CPU is overheating.

I suggest you check out there temperatures when your playing (Try: http://openhardwaremonitor.org/)
And in the background ctrl+alt+del and see if anything is sucking up your CPU usaged

GameBooster doesn't help me for some reason. And my FPS doesn't just spike for a few seconds then goes back up, I was playing for like 20 minutes with 50 FPS instead of 150

Perhaps it was because I was playing other game right before I logged into CF, but there weren't any other programs running besides steam and firefox.

This is a long shot....but I don't suppose you have a program called Raptor by any chance, eh? (for those that do not know what it is, it is a program that tracks all games you own, time, achievements, steam friends, etc.)

It lowers fps a lot...kind of annoying.

Nope, nothing was running besides the CF Forums and steam without any games running

For FPS check your Ram & or your graphic video card. when those are burn or damage it kills your fps. when those are fix make sure your hard disk drive isn't full or burn.

Pardon my language but Game Booster is tool for idiots (or utterly lazy people) its not some magical tool that improves your fps and ping but rather simply terminates processes you tell him to and gives game your currently running higher priority, so IMO completely useless, nothing you can't do with god'ol Task Manager.

Simple CTRL+ALT+DELETE gives you everything you need (to kill of programs you don't need, change priority) also close all Anti-viruses as they on older PC's can easily devour your processor.

Like someone before said scan PC for viruses/spyware.
