Cant change my Video settings !!

When i open CF, my name isnt changed and it isnt in window mode.
When i Change my keyboard to american and press "Save" then sets the gamme to 0 and wont change back, CF doesnt react on what i do. no screen freezes, just doesnt take the saved settings and stays on 0. Even ingame it isnt changeable. I reinstalled CF and restarted the PC and CF... Please help me !!

What does "then sets the gamme to 0" mean? Gamma or game? Do you have read/write access to the options files? C:\Users\%USER%\Documents\Cross Fire\Option.dat

I dont got a Option.dat in that folder, and i mean if i press Save settings in the settings menu ingame, The gamma sets on 0 by itself (Gamme=Brightness)

Hmmm. I'm not aware if that file can be anywhere else.

EDIT: Gave a bad idea. I'll upload a zip you can extract to that folder somewhere and edit this post again or double post. Try searching your harddrive for an option.dat, savediddata.dat, sort.dat or system.dat file.

Hey :P

Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Cross Fire

And open System.dat

on 10th Line there should be a number like 0.856667

Change that to 1 for 100 Gamma, or 0.93 for 93, etc

If you can't save it, right click on file, and click properties.

And make sure it's not set as 'Read only'
