Would you join your nation's military?

Like if World War 3 became a thing, a home-front situation, etc.

How big of a conflict would it take for you to come to the decision in enlisting yourself?

If it was a home front war, I would without a second thought.
If it was taking part in another country, I would need alot of persuading.

That was my plan for a zombie outbreak.. Either joining the army or kill myself

World War 3 = A Nuke War no one comes/walks away from.

And WW3 will probably need drafts more then people enlisting...

I wouldn't join the army. We were at "war" for 11 years. I'd rather start my own little group of vigilantes, and we shall be called... The FantasticAvengeables.

In WW3, it obviously won't be at the very beginning, it will take years until one country has the balls to nuke the other country. But it may not come into a huge 'Nuclear Fallout' situation, if there was very high tensions of this possibility, I'd move to a country that everybody would forget about, as well as not being near another country that has the high potential of being nuked so I'd have to deal with radiation levels.

So I'd probably move to New Zealand or Fiji.

Indonesian Military: Hell no. You have to pay to get it in.

American Military: Only if I get drafted. Other than that, no. And I better be in the Navy.

I have dual citizenship btw.

If it's a home-front situation, then really, you're wasting your time by sitting around rather than taking action.

If there was a occupation type thing; something along the lines of that (like how Isreal is operating in Palestine) and if there was a distint ethnic/racial/religious aspect of persecution (exactly how Isreal is).

I would help in the way of brains and what not. Perfect height + weight ratio for airforce so thats a plus. Also have knowledge in O-chem and explosives... IDK how I would help, but do the role that is needed. Just suck up the Ego and do what is needed. If that means being a grunt, then so be it.

If the war was on Canadian soil. Otherwise, I don't have an interest. Shallow as that may be, I enjoy my simple life.

When? Yea of course in a defensive situation... no doubt there.

I'd might need to think it over though if it was for other situations.

I'm also a dualie... so that's a factor sorta against me on certain signups.

i would join if it was a homefront situation, simply because its my home and ive gatta protect it.

But really why don't we solve all our military problems by just putting Chuck Norris in there?
