No text at ALL in game

So, it's been a while since I played Crossfire and decided to check out the game again.

Since I had it uninstalled, I downloaded the game and was installing. For some reason, installation stopped at /rez/Fonts/default.ttp (or something). It stayed like this for a couple of minutes and my computer was just going crazy, so I decided to cancel the installation and try it again. Same problem again, so I opened the Crossfire folder/rez/Fonts and saw the file default.ttp, and deleted it hoping it would try to replace the missing file when I start up the game.

After deleting the file, while installation was running, the installation finished quickly installing other things.

I opened the game, and without any messages, it opened. But there was only one problem. There were no fonts whatsoever in the game. I could type my ID, password, etc, but I just would not be able to see it. The rooms had no names, numbers, no server names, no fonts in scoreboard, etc. However I was able to navigate using mouse only since I know how the game works.

Any suggestions? I doubt that installation would go on at all if I don't move/delete the file.
