I tried to get my account back through support (after a problem I'd rather not post in this thread), gave the all the information I could, and this is what they told me. They closed the ticket, so I can't ask them what this means. My guess is that it means "Sorry, you can't have your account back." but that just doesn't make any sense.. I've never traded my account. I don't know where they would have gotten this idea from.

They probably got the idea from the fact that you lost your account.
Obviously you won't admit to cheating, and you most likely don't know how to check for keyloggers.
That leaves them with the fact that you shared your account.
Through negligence or active decisions doesn't really matter.
So while you might not be HAPPY with the answer, you should have thought of that before you gave your information away, and its the only answer they can give you.
For future reference: "Closed" on a support ticket just means the matter is closed to them. You can still post a reply which brings the ticket back to "Open" status. -

Alright, what I'm getting from you is that I'm pretty much sol? I kind of want an answer as to whether or not it's possible to get my account back, this is a pretty deterring response from "support". Even if I can make another response, they've said they can't help me. On another note, what does me losing my account have to do with trading? I would think after a customer losing something, they would be a bit less accusing to such things. They have never asked me if I've cheated, so I don't see whether or not I would admit to cheating is relevant. I came here for help not because I wasn't happy with the answer, the fact that my account hasn't been used since the day the "investigation" started is what makes me want to know more about this matter. If neither party is using the account, why is it that the real owner has to suffer anyway? I'm only assuming they can check IPs due to the ability to restrict them.
Edit
I don't see an area to reply in, giving me no way to bring the ticket back to "Open" status.
If you don't believe me, tell me, and I'll post a screenshot [with the information blocked out of course.] -
There are two ways to lose an account, give it away, or a keylogger. Trying to use any form of cheat is the #1 way to obtain a keylogger. They have never asked me if I've cheated, so I don't see whether or not I would admit to cheating is relevant.
If neither party is using the account since it got taken from you, it is likely it was banned. -

There are more than just those two ways, say a family member watches you input your info. Not saying that's very likely, but there is more than 2 ways, saying otherwise is just close-minded.
They have never asked me if I've cheated. If they did I would gladly tell them the truth, but they haven't. I know it's banned. I just don't understand why banning it was their solution, just seems to make everyone lose. The reason I didn't say anything about it being banned was because I figured someone would say something about me jumping to conclusions, that's all. -
I would consider that giving it away. There are more than just those two ways, say a family member watches you input your info. Not saying that's very likely, but there is more than 2 ways, saying otherwise is just close-minded.
They don't feel responsible if you don't take care of your account. That is your responsibility. It sucks. No one likes it, but it costs too much money for them to use another policy. -

Yes, I suppose you could consider that giving it away, though that's a bit of an exaggeration, I do get your point.
With that mindset, there's no point in trying to get your account back. [other than misplacing info, though that is still "not taking care of your account", which I find odd.] Say someone robs you of your account info at gunpoint, is that still not taking care of your account? Not risking your life for it? Again, an unlikely event but it is theoretically possible.
It costs them money to reimburse original owners even if the account was given away? How so? They spend the same amount of time with their "investigations", so I don't see how that makes sense. -
Go to support, contact history, press view response then you can press reply.
I lost my account before but managed to retrieve back after 2 months of writing back and forth. The support was really helpful although at times they didn't understand what I was implying.
In the end it turned out well.
Just try to give as much information as possible. -
I'm not sure what you mean by this. What I mean is there is a limit to how much time Support can give you. If you have good evidence that the account is yours, getting it back shouldn't be too hard for either party. Of course only Support and you together have all the information. It costs them money to reimburse original owners even if the account was given away? How so?
You're right. I was probably too harsh. By giving it away, I mean someone obtained your password through you instead of through your computer. That could be anything from armed robbery like you said or you choosing the password 'password'. Of course, there is no way for anyone to know what happened except the owner of the account.
Trying again won't hurt though. Try to show what happened, be nice and persistent, and you might get it back eventually. -

To anyone saying there is a reply for closed tickets, there isn't. Corkin, it just seems a bit careless to ban an account because they assume it's traded. I'm sure I'm overreacting a bit, but can anyone really blame me? Anyone who has sent in a support ticket knows at least some of them don't have english as a first language. It's very difficult. I suppose I should keep trying, though I figured that would just be an annoyance.
The main thing I don't quite understand is "We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to provide any account related issue.". That just doesn't make any sense. Why would I want any more account related issues from them? -
True, but you can open a new one.To anyone saying there is a reply for closed tickets, there isn't.
It would indeed seem so, but we have no way of knowing what they see. They don't seem to want to reveal any information to you which is unfortunate. This account could have been sold on a hacking site, hacked with, and logged into by more than one ip several times. We just don't know.Corkin, it just seems a bit careless to ban an account because they assume it's traded.
You are not overreacting. In fact I think you are handling it quite well. Perhaps even better than I am.I'm sure I'm overreacting a bit, but can anyone really blame me?
Indeed I have experienced that as well, and their website for a long time was looking to hire bilingual support specialists and who knows what their native language is. Don't think of yourself as annoying. Think of yourself as persistent. Be kind, but ask repeatedly for what you want, and eventually you might get it, even if it is simply out of them trying to shut you up. Ever seen Shawshank Redemption?Anyone who has sent in a support ticket knows at least some of them don't have english as a first language. It's very difficult. I think they either meant to say that they can't tell you any more information about the account related issue or that they can't help you with your account related issue. I'm not sure though. Why would I want any more account related issues from them?
Wish you luck! -

Thanks a lot. You've been really understanding, and helpful as well. I guess I can just try again, can't hurt. -

I've been on the other side of the fence, so lets review for the sake of reviewing.
1) Someone to know your password would have to be staring at your keyboard while you type in the password. If someone is that close, you know who it is. Or, they know what passwords you use. In either case, it's someone who you personally know.
2) There is a password recovery option to e-mail. Why was this not used.
3) If it's a family member/friend and you know who it is, you should be able to get it back.
4) Any other reason, as mentioned earlier, is a keylogger or traded account.
5) I've been playing for 3 years. I've been on the "Bad" websites while part of the administration team hunting for up-comming exploits. I've never lost my account.
Trying to recover a lost account for CF is almost impossible, because it's almost impossible to lose an account. Unfortunately, that's the way things are.
In addition, you will notice specifically stated in the rules you posted on the original post to start the thread that there is 0 exceptions when you give access in any way to your password. Including family members/friends watching your keyboard. The TOS is validated and approved by every player who signs up for a CF account, and every user agrees that these rules are binding and accepted by the user when their account is generated -
So much for trying again o.o.
"We are sorry, this account is flagged for account sharing. We are unable to assist you, and your further request regarding this account will be ignored."
Guess I'm sol... over 200$ wasted and 2,000+ hours, but oh well. I guess close this thread, or just ignore it. -

If you can give me a legitimate reason and cause (in a PM if you prefer) that completely goes against the 5 main points that I stated above, then I have no problem fast tracking to the best of my ability your case to those who can help. -
