Ping increase problem
The last month i've notice that my ping increased a lot... almost 1 point per day... i usually had 40-50 ping while playing and know what happened... i have constantly 70-80 ping and that annoys me a lot. I've contacted my network provired Iskon.hr and they've told me everything is fine with my network and that my profile is set on the highest possible mode. Since they haven't figured out where's the problem they asked me if it is possible to get the IP address of the Crossfire Servers so they could check what's wrong with that.
Idk i was enough precise if you want to help me and you need more info just tell me... but this is basicly it.

I'm not sure what you want a GM to do for you that we can't help you with, but you've given us almost no information to work on. If you are using the UK servers, it is a well-known issue. If not, to be able to tell anything, I need to know what debugging you have done and the results of tracerts.

The GM knows. Z8 knows it's their server problem. But it's probably too hard for them to fix...and not everybody has this problem, so I guess they won't fix it.
To ensure you, your hardware and Internet are normal so forget about those speed tests... -

let me say something... I agree with you... it's pathetic that they completely ruined the gameplay, with weapons(from coupons), the UK clan server sucks since the patch, my ping is more like a ****hole and i can't play normally... so tell me after all the money i gave in this game and from all the money they are getting daily they can't fix a bunch of bugs??? They destroyed BM with those weapons for days... example... you have to spend more or less 70-100k ZP to get about 70 coupons to get what? some stupid M16 with silencer... woot right?
I think they just look on earing money and they are so selvish that they can't pay someone who knows what he is doing to fix the bugs... -

This is most likely the issue sense your location probably hasn't changed unless you moved. If you changed your ISP this could also be the case. -
its happening to me, my ping and fps start to spike in beggining of 5th match i play, which has 13 rounds... but i think it will be resolved with the next patch:)
that was a hell out of a joke... the thing is that every new patch is causing more and more bugs and problems -

My ISP is the same. I can download at the same speed. My internet is connection is great but now my ping sucks. I have 40 more ping than before, and the problem is called: NEW PATCH. Come on Gm's you need to solve this problem. -
same here.+40 at all servers.uk had 55 now 90 usa had 150 now 185.dont even bother on sending a ticket.they will just say its your conection.
Exactly, one person can have Internet Problems, but more than 100 persons CAN'T have the same problem. We need some answer. I have so much friends with the same problem, the ping is high in some servers. -

My ISP is the same, and this happens to me since the hero x update...the internet speed doesn't change, i have tested it and my connection is normal. I can play other games that require better system than crossfire without lag. So this also proves my hardware is fine. -

My ISP is the same too. And this problem happens to me since the last patch, somedays ago.Not just some servers. For me, all servers have the ping increased.
For me too, but they won't believe us. All servers are lagged after the patch. -
I sent several tickets at the beginning of March...
Their reply to this problem was:
Latency is something that is almost impossible to help with. There are many factors that can affect lag in game.
Our servers have not experienced any slow down, so the problems may be anything from internet traffic in your area, to the type of connection you have, to the speed of your computer.
Unfortunately the best advice we can give is to continue to play and keep monitoring your ping to see if it goes down.
The second support ticket, they got annoyed, so they replied:

If you`ve finished a search on your issue and still cannot find an answer you may then create a new thread on the issue. Please be sure to be as specific as possible when creating a new thread.
And here I am, doing what they want me to do:
1. Monitoring my ping and see if it goes down.
2. Search related threads on this problem.
3. Create new threads on this problem.
I personally think we just have to wait until everyone or at least 75% of the people cannot play the game due to this then they would fix the problem. It's just like how they are fixing the client errors now because too many people are getting it and complaining about it. -

They want the rest of the forumers to help you with your problem, which I am trying to do, unsuccessfully. The first step in that process is to in fact verify that the problem is not on your end. You can say it is not on your end all you want, but we need to see that to be sure. The only way we can help you with your problem is with more information. Never lose sight that the vast majority of players on cf do not have this problem. I kindly ask again. Trace route please.

Well, my ping has accualy decresed, it was 77 now its 66 for me XD
It's different for everyone, depending on their net/where they live.
If the server had problems that increases one's ping. Then EVERYONE would experience the SAME problem. Just because one person has a problem with his/her ping, it doesn't mean something is wrong with the server. -

Thank you. That is an ok test. If you had those speeds at all times, it would probably be ok, but that is very unlikely. Internet speeds fluctuate drastically depending on many things beyond our and even our ISP's control. You could always tweak Compound TCP.
More importantly, you seem to be from Croatia or near there and therefore probably use the UK Servers. There is a known networking issue with the UK servers.

I'm pretty sure when you use speedtest.net that you are testing your connectivity to an area within the US. The servers Alpha-Foxtrot are in Canada. You may not be getting accurate results. If you guys have common ISPs or your ISPs are in a similar vacinity you are probably all experiencing traffic issues or bad latency. I hope you fix this problem, nothing like this has happened to me.

same my ping also increased after that new patch .come on z8 games we are not lying why u not take any step.i got 80-10 + ping on all uk server .through my ISP net connection speed all are same.so it is not our problem. i hope u will take some measurement

Z8 has already stated that they are having issues with the UK Servers. Please be patient for them to be resolved. -
Yup.. iskon.hr is croatian network provider, same as mine (Bnet) alltho, same thing keeps happening to me .. from ping 40-50 it switched to 70-80 and by calling a network provider nothing gets resolved...
eather croatian networks provider suck or eather crossfire has some error or has slowed up the servers for lower price of keeping them alive... -

No, that's wrong when you're using speedtest.net you have thousands of connection spots to choose to see your connectivity, so i can choose in my home country Croatia the nearest point which in this case is Zagreb so it doesn't test your connectivity to an area within US... and i play on UK servers... on Alpha i have 100-150ping
