How To: MovieMake & FPS CAP & Fraps etc.
Hello,
Is there a way to increase my FPS besides using programs such as GameBooster (it doesn't increase my FPS). I am very satisfied with my FPS, I usualy have around 200 but I would want to know if there is a way to increase them even more, if there isn't I don't really care, just 4 curiosity... but can I stabilize my FPS at a certain number of frames? For example, always have 200 FPS without moving so they always keep in 200. I've heard that if you change your CF Settings to 800x600 Resolution & Everything in the lower options you'll have more FPS than when you have High Quality Settings, so I've tried it but my FPS stayed the same, it looked HORRIBLE, maybe because I have a 24" screen... it looked like I was playing MineCraft but it was way easier to kill, so IDK if it's worth getting a better K/D but less fun playing because u have less quality or not...
About MM, I would like to see people posting MM packs here if possible.
I have a nice computer & everything so I would like to know what Settings I should chose on Fraps, I've been recording with 60 FPS but I have a feeling that my PC could handle ~125/150 FPS while recording. My video capture settings are on 30 fps, full size which makes me record with 60 stable FPS...
that's all,
//peace.<3

Well... Since a lot of people also have these doubts & questions I thought I should create the thread in Cross Fire Barracks Section since it will have way more views,
Sorry if it bothers someone,
hope it doesn't get moved before I get a consistent answer ;$ -
i play normaly with 60 fps xD and got a 2.21 kd .. so the fps arent the prob
Pay attention to what people write before posting a reply. I wrote that I am very satisfied with my FPS & I'm a good player too... But if I can get 250 FPS instead of 200 why not? -
You wont notice a difference anyway. It really doesn't matter if your fps is 100 or 200 or 500+.
Anyway, one way to improve your fps is to lower the settings. The less your computer has to do, the more fps you get. Close everything else, expect the game.
But the only way to really increase your fps is to buy a new computer. There aren't any programs that can make your computer run faster. If your hardware is bad your fps will be low and a program cant change it. -
because 250 FPS won't make much of a difference if you say you're a good player.. right?
and no there is no way to really increase your FPS by that much without getting new hardware..
Yes, it wouldn't affect my gameplay, but my point is: Why not get the best if you can get it? But now that you told me that I can't get the best, I give up. Anyways my main preocupation isn't getting better FPS, I mainly want to stabilize/cap my FPS but I don not know how to do it or if it even is possible. -

Yes, I have conscience that miraculous programs do not exist ^^ But as I said before, my main issue is stabilizing my FPS, for example always have 200 FPS without moving. -
BadMonkey666 wrote: »That's like impossible. Your FPS always rises and falls because sometimes your computer has to do more work and sometimes less.
Even if you put a fps limit into the game your fps might go lower.
Are you sure about it, I think I've heard people saying that you can mantain your frames at the same number, but I get your point, that's what I thought too.
Still waiting for more answers,
don't forget to post the MovieMaking Packs! >:D -

I'm fairly sure cf is capped at 200fps anyways, it certainly used to be...and yes, it can fluctuate a bit either side of 200...but generally you will get 200 fps...unless that info is outdated...my current set up gets a pretty constant 150 fps (24" monitor, 1920x1080, everything full) and i'm fine with that XD -

Well, I'm fine with mine too, actualy more than fine, I love my computer, but a friend of mine has an AlienWare and he says he gets 500 FPS on CF, IDK if it is true or not but I guess it is, sometimes I get around 220 so... -
I have on a 24" and on a full HD resolution constantly 200 FPS.
While recording like 70. So I dont think it will be much higher with any program.
Ah and fraps only records like 30 seconds, then it stops, idk why.
Thats the free virison of fraps....you can buy it and record as long as you would like... -
You will most likely never see the difference between 100 and 250 fps if the are both stable ofc and not go below 80 a 60 fps than u will see it.
Anyway, increase your virtual memory make them equal 8gb
Graphic card software options change that to performance
don't use gamebooster.
defrag your HDD
most basic things... -
Yes, I know that anything above 75 FPS is very good, but I thought I could even have better, so why not? It's the same as saying that you only want 100 million $ instead of 200 million $, just because 100 million is enough... You could always use the rest for donation. :b

Truth but it wouldn't affect you in any way, you won't see a difference.
Taking your example, if 100 million is more than enough for a life time, you won't need the other 100 million that you will leave behind, meaning it wouldnt make much of a difference. -

NO! Because I could donate the rest so 200kk would be better.
