XP x64 FAIL !!!????

i have a AMD Athlon 64 5000+ ; 4 GB ddr2 ; gtx550 Ti and i just installed WIN XP x64 (64bits) . Then installed and -REINSTALLED- the game a few times cuz after i open the game it goes at full load at HWG icon and then...nothing happen. so my question is : does crossfire work on xp x64 or not ? and if yes, what shoul i do ??? please a quick answer will be welcomed cuz i wanna do my daily mission :) ty !

    Works better on 64bit system than on 32 one (imho).
    It should open up as normal.
    Try disabling Aero and then run the game. Dont forget to run it as administrator.

    well...

    windows xp 64bits don't have any AERO, but if you say about that ones from visual effects, i've disable them all. and of course, i've run the game as Administrator, of course. in the end, i've reinstalled xp 32bit cuz there was no chance to make the game work on xp x64 so...now i'm playing...! if some moderator knows what would be my problem, so i'll reinstall xp x64 again...but if no official and clear message appear i'll stay at my xp x32...

    Um, I don't believe that it will run on XP 64-bit the NT kernel was not designed to switch between "CPU interrupts" on the fly like window vista/7 are able to, and therefore I believe that CF is trying to run in 64 bit mode exclusivly, although I could be wrong because I did not use XP 64-bit for long as crossfire did not run :D
