What are the BEST headphones for ghost mode&Search and destroy?
(SOUND CARD IN MY COMPUTER INFORMATION AT BOTTEM)
I just got a little extra money aroun 70$ and i am wanting to use to to by some good headphones for ghost mode/search and destroy. This is what i want the headphones to basically do. *hear breath Loudly, so i can pin-point better, BUT NOT HEAR THE LOUD AK&M12s SPRAYERS or just other guns loudly. and for search and destroy *hear Footsteps&gun reloads/gun switches.
YEA around 70$ bucks
and where i can buy at a local store(ex. Walmart).
Also if you have the headphones u recommend What is your sound setting on Like Computer Volume and Sound Effects.
(Ex. Computer 100% volume, but Sound Effects 70%)
And yes i know Radio Messages 0% lol.

Astro headpohnes are beast.
but for a headphone around 70$ i would recommend the steelseries Sibera which is 20$ more.
but really, those you're just paying for the brand names but the design of them are amazing.

I was using $10 Cheap-O headphones before I got 7.1 speakers. Personally, I don't think sound quality is really a big deal for a game like this. What matters most is good directional positioning(unless you consider this part of "quality"). Any normal stereo headphones work fine. Otherwise, go for some true 5/7.1 phones if you want to play more seriously.
(I'd stay away from virtual surround at all costs.) -

If you don't have a surround sound card then virtual surround is the way to go. What don't you like about it? Most USB headsets these days have amazing virtual surround. -

I use Razer Carcharias, very comfortable and great sound quality with the Sound Baster XFI usb sound card, no sound effects. Unfortunatly the AK is still loud no matter what you do but Pinpointing is great with this setup, I only play GM. The sound is only put out in 2 channel stereo in CF, left and right so I don't bother with 5.1 or 7.1, pinpointing in stereo is all you need. -
Panasonic Earbuds are the best. I hear everything with it, and it has sound isolation. So all you will hear is either ghosts breath or noob spraying around. I use Dr. Dre beats but most of the time the earbuds lol. I mean these are the best earbuds I've ever had in my whole entire life. It costs nothing...

^These are the ones I use, they're very inexpensive and I'm generally seen as a good GMer, at least on GR side.
People that get the super expensive headsets are kidding themselves. All it does is give an ego boost. -

Get sound blaster Audigy SE (20 dollars/euro's/pound same pricing yep really weird but still good)
50 dollars left get a SteelSeries 5H v2 or something in the steelseries.
Trust me you will be shocked how good u will hear ghost.
And you will only use like 40% sound no need to turn it up to 100% :PIt supports surround sound now.

What you have to know is, headphones are expensive.
Okay you can buy some for 10 bucks but they suck, if you want something good you have to spend at least 90$. Those 90$ headphones are not bad, but not good either. Real headphones cost at least 150$.
I had those headphones last year, but they broke.

Of course virtual surround works, that's why it's called VIRTUAL but it's not true surround sound....
Besides you only need stereo to be a pro pinpointer in this game. -

Virtual surround sound is different than real surround sound.
Virtual fakes the surround sound(duhz) and will never get up to the level of a real surround sound.
Crossfire supports 2.1 aka stereo and not more.
You can force and whatever it will never come out as 5.1/7.1 etc
It will always use 2 speakers in your headset and thats it.
Stereo is stereo there is no way to make it all of the sudden 5.1/7.1 if the game doesn't support it.
And again VIRTUAL IS DIFFERENT IT'S STEREO WITH a effect of trying to make a 7.1 surround sound
(I got a G35 so I know)
