client file corruption detected closing game client

how can i fix this error pls help me!!!

uninstall crossfire via 'control panel'.
Manually delete the z8 folder, use a program to 'clean uninstall (free ones downloadable via google)
redownload crossfire. this should fix the error. if not, you might have to revert to factory settings (i.e removing everything from the computer) or to a backup file.

i think i must revert to factory setting
