ping higher than normal.
hi friends
My ping to crossfire the last few hours has been avg. about 155-200 when it's normally around 35-50.
My ping to all my vents, QuakeLive among other games has all been the same. I restarted my modem, router, checked to make sure bitorrents weren't uploading etc.
I live in Michigan and use Comcast. I don't know any of the server ip's to do a tracert or I'd paste the results in here.
If you use Comcast and live in Michigan please tell me if you're having the same problem.
Thank you for reading this post, have a great day!

Well i dont have comcast. rather i have DSL, but I too am having "ping spikes" as well as a lower fps. before the patch, my ping was 88-89 all the time, but now its at 128-129. Havent been much of a issue for me except if im in a snipe off and me and my opponent shoot at each other at the same time, his/her bullet hits me before my bullet hits him/her. but the ping spikes are annoying though. lol 1 time i chased a ghost and empitied 2 clips of my XM8 in his back before he finally died. LMAO then got called a hack and kiked from game........ like always

Yes. My ping was 40-50, but now it is 150 (some rooms). Other rooms it is back around 45 but spikes to 100+ plus there is delay. When I press G to drop a gun, it takes one second for it to register (so 1 second wait until the gun drops), then another one second to pick up another gun. good luck fixing!

Utilities
Yes i use them already, been gaming online since 1996. This is not a home issue or provider issue, its definitely server side. Things are not in sync and I hope they are working on it, might have something to do with the server maintenance scheduled on Friday. -
Same here. In Pittsburgh, normal Comcast ping is <50, terrific. Now its at 300+ and often goes to over 1000.
It's not my computer (OC Quad core, Radeon 4850, 6gb ram), I'm getting 200+ FPS, and I installed a fresh copy of Windows (was going to anyways) today just to see if that fixed it. It didn't.......
Completely unplayable for me.
