We noticed some problems with the tombstone map in recent patches. In order to fix it some standards were created amongst Elimination maps. Unfortunately one of these standards was to add the "knife only" icon to the map picture for all maps where there are guns on the ground (in this case Alaska). This just means that the only weapon you can take in to the match is a knife. You pick the other weapons up on the ground.

After this was added we realized that it would be confusing for users because they would just assume it's knives only before actually going in to the game. However there was not enough time to revert or come up with a better solution before the day of patching. So we made the announcement in the patch notes to convey our understanding of the situation and to say that we are not done 'fixing' these maps.
